Mullet was the republican face of the investigation. Since Mullet was a Republican, that gave some cover for the stacked partisan deck aligned against Trump amongst Weissman’s crew of angry and conflicted democrats.

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.), who asked if the reason Mueller did not indict the president was because of a Justice Department policy memo by the Office of Legal Counsel that bars indictment of a sitting president.
    “That is correct,” Mueller answered.

Mueller Starts House Intel Hearing By Correcting Major Bombshell

In his second round of testimony Wednesday, former special counsel Robert Mueller corrected what was initially seen as the biggest bombshell from remarks he gave earlier in the day regarding his investigation into whether President Donald Trump attempted to obstruct the Russia probe.

“Now before we go to questions, I want to add one correction to my testimony this morning,” Mueller began at the outset of his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee.

    ...
“I want to go back to one thing that was said this morning by Mr. Lieu, who said, and I quote, ‘you didn’t charge the president because of the OLC opinion.'”

“That is not the correct way to say it,” Mueller said.

“As we say in the report, and as I said in the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime.”

the democrats likely did this on purpose. So far I have seen a couple of jpp liberals utterly fooled, including rana. they get the big headline earlier, and then "correct their mistake" later. Mueller has recanted the very thing mouthbreathers like micawber keep bringing up.

Can't unring the bell. Genie is out of the bottle.

yes and what I showed you is a direcxt quote of mueller himself correcting his previous statement that you seem so amped to continuing quoting. mueller himself said that was not correct. so why do you insist on repeating things that are objectively not correct, as declared by mueller himself? if you actually had a case, you wouldn't need to do that. so you just illustrate how full of shit you are.

Micabwer is having a legitimate stroke right now. There is no other explanation as to why he cannot read the facts. Unless he is just shitting and repeating himself.
