"In a papal encyclical letter called "Laudato Si" ("Praised Be") Pope Francis declared that the science of climate change is clear and that the Catholic Church views climate change as a moral issue that must be addressed in order to protect the Earth and everyone on it."

He's infallible. And this is more proof!

    He's human and quite fallible.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Is that "authority"......the same authority that brought us the "Spanish Inquisitions" and the "Great Crusades".....from ROME? That authority?

Suggestion: If you are going to attempt to justify something by projecting religion....why not go to the source of all Religious Christian Faith...the Holy Scriptures? "Faith Cometh by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God."

What does the actual text declare about using nature as a political tool for the reasons of power grabbing? What the scriptures declare is very revealing. 1. Men are indeed tasked as being Stewards of God's creation....why? Man was given by GOD....dominion over all creation....and tasked with doing what he (man) can do as a good steward (Gen. 1:26, 2:15 and Ps. 8:6-8)

    2. The bible teaches that God is in control of all things natural....climate, weather, the sun, the earth, the solar system, the universe. "Your Father in Heaven makes His sun rise on the evil and the good; and sends rain on the just and the unjust." (Matt. 5:45). The book of Job goes into more detail concerning God's ability to control nature, "God thunders marvelously with His voice....He does great things which we cannot comprehend, for He says to the snow, fall on the earth; likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength." (Job 37: 5-6)

God makes it clear with no ambiguity that God only controls the weather and weather patterns...but, man cannot even pretend to understand/comprehend How He does it, or why He does it. Thus...the fact that man made climate change is an unprovable, uncontrollable theory of man....not a demonstrable fact of science as can be proven through the scientific method of Observation, Reproduction and consistency as proven via experimentation. No one can predict the weather with 100% accuracy, no one is capable of controlling the weather. Its more than pompous to even suggest that man can control the earth weather patterns by altering carbon output.

God declares that man can do nothing about nature...but accept it, and adapt to hit, adapt to God's reason which are private until He decides to reveal it. "WHILE THE EARTH REMAINS, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease." (Gen. 8:22)

    3. So what can man do about the weather and stay in compliance with God's reasons? Pray to God who controls all things. As an example the scriptures give us Elijah....who prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for 3 years and 6 months; He prayed again, and the heavens gave rain and the earth produced its fruit. (James 5:17-18)

Conclusion: Man should not concern himself...worry, about things he is incapable of controlling. Pray if it bothers you...but other than asking in ignorance, one has no recourse but to accept the nature of things beyond his control. In other words DEAL WITH IT, adapt, be a good steward as much as possible...but don't attempt to declare that you can predict climate change, or control that change through the methods of man.

In other words anyone that tells you that he/she knows the things that cause weather and can control those things....they are either lying or deceiving one's self.

I guess you found religion. Of course AGW is a religion so I suppose you've always been religious. You consider yourself and the pope to be pretty stupid. I concur.

Let's see, the King of the Catholics whose ears god on high puckers up to says man cause climate change is destroying the earth,
and so does all on man's science. But man's science said so before God found out. Hmmmm.

Sex is personal and private- well, except in your case- whereas climate change is public and universal.

It's not about that but whether the 1.2 billion Catholics consider the pope as the ultimate authority.

They are all individuals and they will pick and choose. Like I said- this particular declaration affects everybody- and it's scientifically supported, a rarity in church matters.

At least you agree that the pope's declarations mean nothing.
