Until Trump, the mania over Bush was unmatched. Remember, Duh Chimp and Chimpeach?
You cannot compare the ruckus and hate for Bush and Trump compared to Obama. They had SWAT teams in riot gear at Bush's inauguration. Remember the riots and violence during the "protests" over Trump's election?
None of that occurred with Obama. The streets were empty when he was elected, not burning.
It's was nuts.

Yeah......the people that have a favorability rating among DEMOCRATS....the AOC posse and those who are now backing this social communism.....with a documented 19% favorability rating are going to shock the world and the entire Untied States of America and defeat those who agree with Trump that have a favorability rating of 69%.
I'd wager that the only SURPRISE under that election tree will be YOURS.
That's the difference between a conservative and a liberal. Conservatives accept the reality that surrounds them....a problem is nothing but a solution awaiting to be made known. Liberals live in a la la land located only between their ears and project those things they cannot control through words based upon emotion instead of reality. There is no liberal, socialist UTOPIA awaiting just over the horizon....the only way to make everyone equal is to remove individual freedom. Socialism and Liberty go together just like OIL and WATER. As long as free will exists upon the earth as a transcending natural right of birth....there will never be a social UTOPIA with its mandated wealth redistribution...why? Theft is still theft by any other name. Morality is no longer morality when it is an attempted function of state mandate. Morality begins and ends with the heart of the INDIVIDUAL not the collective.
Perhaps when you MATURE...emotionally...you will comprehend this reality. Socialism can only exist and be maintained within a small unit.....such as family. Which is a good thing...with one authority figure that has the wisdom and maturity to protect and demand that protection upon those within his/her family unit. Move up to the community level....that idea becomes more difficult as those small family units have varying ideas concerning what's best, move further up to the state level....to the federal level...you get the idea.....people are uncontrollable. The only thing that protects our society are OUR individual decisions to accept the codes and rule of law. Laws can only be enforced because good individuals agree with those laws....those who do not become criminals. No police or military force on earth can control 300 million individuals, as long as free will exists. Its the morality that begins at home that make societies POSSIBLE.

Interesting how our memories differ. I recall quite the opposite. In fact, the Tea Party started their protests and marches and carrying signs that said "We came unarmed -- this time" (and some DID bring weapons) even before Obama was sworn into office. There were constant cries to impeach him -- who knows for what. I remember many times seeing clusters of protesters standing on overpasses outside of St. Louis City, with banners hanging over the rails about impeaching Obama and telling him to go back to Kenya.
You're right though; there *were* a lot of protests in 2000 following W's election. Due to all the court stuff, many felt that Gore won. Toadstool, on the other hand, had the most protests before and during inauguration. So even though Obama's crowds were much larger, Trump had more protesters. lol

Yes, our memories are quite different. The Tea Party never used violence or conducted riots. Perhaps you can show me some videos of police in riot gear on either of Obama's inaugurations or right wing domestic terrorists in the streets "protesting" his election -- by destroying property, burning cars, etc. etc.?
Yep, there is simply NO comparison to the violence and terror tactics employed by the left.
The reason for the "more protesters" is because the left is very violent when they don't get their way. It's the Socialist/Communist way. And violence and burning up cars on the street it not "protesting" -- it's domestic terrorism.

And then of course there's the Charlottesville event, which left one person dead at the hands of the RW mob. I mean, "some fine people." lol

Wrong, Mujer de Buho.
Real Clear Politics.
“Trump Didn't Call Neo-Nazis 'Fine People.' Here's Proof.”
“News anchors and pundits have repeated lies about Donald Trump and race so often that some of these narratives seem true, even to Americans who embrace the fruits of the president’s policies. The most pernicious and pervasive of these lies is the “Charlottesville Hoax,” the fake-news fabrication that he described the neo-Nazis who rallied in Charlottesville, Va., in August 2017 as “fine people.”
Just last week I exposed this falsehood, yet again, when CNN contributor Keith Boykin falsely stated, “When violent people were marching with tiki torches in Charlottesville, the president said they were ‘very fine people.’” When I objected and detailed that Trump’s “fine people on both sides” observation clearly related to those on both sides of the Confederate monument debate, and specifically excluded the violent supremacists, anchor Erin Burnett interjected, “He [Trump] didn’t say it was on the monument debate at all. No, they didn’t even try to use that defense. It’s a good one, but no one’s even tried to use it, so you just used it now.”
My colleagues seem prepared to dispute our own network’s correct contemporaneous reporting and the very clear transcripts of the now-infamous Trump Tower presser on the tragic events of Charlottesville. Here are the unambiguous actual words of President Trump:
“Excuse me, they didn’t put themselves down as neo-Nazis, and you had some very bad people in that group. But you also had people that were very fine people on both sides. You had people in that group – excuse me, excuse me, I saw the same pictures you did. You had people in that group that were there to protest the taking down of, to them, a very, very important statue and the renaming of a park from Robert E. Lee to another name.”
After another question at that press conference, Trump became even more explicit:
“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”
