Right, “dog whistles”. Do you ever wonder why whenever you hear a “dog whistle” your ears always ring?

What, “women of color” cannot handle criticism? It’s you guys who are racist.

No that is the media's job to label them as "women of color" and not as congress women. Amazing how they get away with it.

Immigration "has defined every stage of American history", it said, adding that "all Americans, except for the descendants of Native people and enslaved African-Americans, are immigrants or descendants of immigrants".

It also noted that patriotism is not defined by race or ethnicity, "but by devotion to the Constitutional ideals of equality, liberty, inclusion and democracy".

    How significant is this?

There have been only four congressional votes to approve resolutions aimed at censuring or condemning a president, according to a 2018 report by the Congressional Research Service.

The last occasion was against William Howard Taft in 1912, when he was accused of trying to influence a disputed Senate election."

BBC: US House condemns Trump attacks on congresswomen as racist

"It passed by 240 votes to 187.

Four Republicans and the House's sole independent, former Republican lawmaker Justin Amash, joined all 235 Democrats to approve the resolution

The four Republicans were Texas congressman Will Hurd (the party's only African American representative), Brian Fitzpatrick (Pennsylvania), Fred Upton (Michigan) and Susan Brooks (Indiana).

Passing a resolution - which is a statement of opinion and not legally binding - criticising presidential conduct is very rare. "

Some Republicans tried to lash out at Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for calling the tweets racist, but that was quickly quashed.
    Bi-partisan.............

You would think something like insulting & telling US citizens to leave the country would be universally condemned, but party before country..

If it had been Obama saying something like this there would be 50 threads of PoutRage as the "deplorables" demand blood..

Special thanks to those who put the country & decency before party.........
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

As I said, Trump does not like to be beaten at his own game.

Make no mistake. Trump has a knack for stirring up attention with controversial statements. He uses that as a ploy to rally support.

Trump never would have been elected without the racist vote.

He barely squeaked by the 2016 election by some very thin margins in swing states. He lost the popular vote. He needed the racist vote as much as he needed the evangelicals. When he tweets hateful things about minorities he is throwing red meat to his hateful fans. In this case, he wanted to take the heat off the border conditions stories, which were hurting his support. He did that, but he may have gotten more than he bargained for.

    WHAT PART IS RACIST?

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly......
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2019

....and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how....
    — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 14, 2019

....it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

Riiiight. The whole world is against you. The left, the media... Oh poor pitiful conservatives. Standing alone for what is rightfully yours - all the wealth extraction in the world.

Well, you've gone too far. AOC got stuck like so many young people. Worked her way through college, graduated with 'useless basket weaving' degrees in economics and international relations, and was then relegated to working as a bartender trying to pay off 25K in student loans. She stumped for Bernie Sanders and discovered she liked working in politics. She drove to be in the Standing Rock protests and stopped in Flint Michigan to talk to people affected by the Republican Lead Poisoned Water Crisis there. On her way back, she got a phone call asking her to attempt a long shot run for Congress. Having nothing to lose she accepted. THAT was when she found out what a knack she has for what she is now doing.

AOC's rise is the result of a bad idea come back to bite the Republicans in the place where it hurts.

She SHOULD have had her college expenses paid by the taxpayers, and she SHOULD be working in the capitalist world and saving for a home mortgage. But she can't live that life because she got stuck with a mortgage-sized loan to pay off. Her future wealth was extracted by our rigged economic system (Something Trump correctly identified.)

She caught a hail Mary pass and she is RUNNING with it.

And the crowd is going wild in BOTH sides of the stadium.

Trump is the bad guy, and she is on the good side.

I would totally not be surprised to see her become President one day.

She's a fighter and show won't have her ideals compromised by big money.

No wonder the right is terrified.

She is defining her own job. The media's job is to exploit her magnetism for all the clicks they can.
