I wouldn't go that far but he was extremely amusing and could come up with a quip off the cuff. I remember one when a reporter asked him Mr. President do you consider yourself plartly to blame for (I forgot the issue)? Reagan said without missing a beat "Yes I do for many years I was a Democrat." He really was amusing.

Reagan was like Trump in that he was suffering Alzheimer's when he was in office. Reagan was kept from speaking in public as much as was possible. Reagan's people made press conferences in a narrow range of topics. they did not want him to go off-topic and accidentally tell the truth. Remember press conferences? Presidents used to have them regularly. Reagan was an actor and could remember lines in the beginning. The admin is terrified of what Daffy will tweet next.

I totally agree. This retort was unbeatable:

Beats being a moron like you who is incapable of thinking. But you have parroting Marxist propaganda down pat.

    Joking, not lying

    When Trump said:
“I watched in Jersey City, New Jersey, where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building (WTC) was coming down”
(but nobody in the mayor's office, police or media saw it)

    ... he was joking!

    And his great one-liner:
“I lost hundreds of friends in 9/11”

The reason he couldn't name any of them was - he was joking!

    What a joker.

Not just the wittiest, the smartest in a lot of ways.

The school of hard knocks, working in the real world has made him ripe for the job, at the right time.

And snowflakes can not stand it, someone from outside the swamp is in charge

Trump's hysterical to anyone with a sense of humor and understanding of irony and satire.
He's got a sarcastic self-deprecating kind of humor that libs don't get and it drives them up a wall.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

I only noticed his wit after he became president. But once president he could tell a hell of a joke. Maybe it was there before and was dormant.
