He was called the brains of the Republican Party and now he is out of the party. That makes perfect sense. Trump and his people have dumbed politics to the lowest level in history. You can see why Ryan is outside looking in. He is not stupid enough to thrive in that cesspool.

I did not like his politics, but clearly he was very intelligent.

This is funny. Leaving aside the fact many Democrats think Ryan is evil, he has been out of favor with many Republicans well before Trump came into office.

Ryan's not on the outside looking in. He's right where his policies have been all along. Who knows, maybe he's secretly an Obama supporter just like John McCain proved himself to be. With McCain, guess if you can't beat an unqualified black, you join him.

Ryan is a deficit hawk, supposedly. Doesn't exactly square with this new Trump party.

Isn't it amazing Trump was able to take over the entire Republican party by going dumb?

Paul Ryan was a part of Bush’s attempt to offer personal S.S. accounts. He was part of the ad the democrats created showing republicans pushing grandma off a cliff. He was evil personified in many liberal eyes.

He was part of the Republican young guns that was coming to D.C. to install fiscal discipline. Ultimately he didn’t do jack in that regard as prolifigate spending continued under his leadership.

You'd say anything you could come up with that you think makes you sound good. Rump apologist.

I agree with all of this except your spelling of profligate and I never saw that grandma cliff bit. Love to see that.
