Default Survey finds millions of Americans are underemployed

As many as 22 million U.S. workers can be considered “underemployed” — that is, they have a job that doesn’t put their education, experience or training to work, or they are working part-time when they’d rather have a full-time job, according to a new report from PayScale. And almost half of the surveyed workers feel they are underpaid. In some cases, this may stem from actual underemployment; in others, there may be a skills gap, the study says.

INCREASE in number of jobs filled EXPLAINED!

Many states have increased their minimum wage standard for their own states, just in this last session of Congress who have used every excuse in the book to not increase the minimum wage. But, because the minimum wage has increased, many people have returned to work in these States, especially for that very reason- People can now afford decent childcare and work at the same time, or continue college- and work too! Something that was not possible before the increase in wages mandated at the State level.

Have you ever heard the term Revolving Door Jobs?

Well, if you haven't, let me explain that for you as well. Revolving door jobs are jobs that are intentionally and extremely underpaid, extremely frustrating work, jobs that only a very desperate person who needs to bring some bacon home now, would even consider accepting, if better jobs were available at the time they need money so desperately to keep the roof over their head. So they accept these jobs, and even the employer knows they won't stick around for very long, they continue to advertise the job ad on Craigslist indefinitely. And the one who does accept these jobs are just taking the job, and continue to look for more stable better paying real jobs, and will leave the minute better opportunities present themselves.

But because these same revolving door jobs are filled. vacated, and re-filled immediately in a continuous cycle- IT SKEWS the JOBS REPORTS.

In other words a company is asked, "How many positions did you fill last month?", the company reports they filled 28 jobs last month, when in fact, it was for only 4 positions. Because no one in their right mind would continue working in such a piss poor job for over a couple of weeks- get their first paycheck, realize it, get up and walk out. Fuck, some people go on their first break- AND YOU NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! LOL!

What is happening, is millions of these piss poor Revolving Door jobs that show up as Jobs Filled in last month's Jobs Report are the very same jobs that were added to the reports in the month previous to that. SO when a jobs report comes out for any given month, naturally these same jobs get added to next months report. And so those figures are not new job opportunities. This cycle just keeps repeating itself and looks like something to brag about when in fact it is something to be ashamed about for our country to have so many low paying horrible jobs out there and the amount of desperate job seekers that are being taken advantage of and just used for their cheap labor.

SO you can take your FAKE NEWS jobs reports and stick them up your ass. Because they do not reveal the truth about the labor market in any sense of the word.
repeat all you like it's still silliness..these are high paying trade jobs as well as career ladder

Strong job growth is back: Payrolls jump in June well above expectations

"Non-farm payrolls rose 224,000 in June, well above market expectations of 165,000, according to the Labor Department.
The unemployment rate edged higher to 3.7% but was still near 50-year lows.
Wage growth was 3.1% year over year, one-tenth of a point below market expectations.
Stocks opened lower on the news and government bond yields surged."

Four more years of a booming Trump economy.

And what I also find interesting about Trumpkins citing unemployment is that when Obama was bringing it down from ten percent to four percent all we heard was concerns about participation rates, and, that the Government was making the figures up to make Obama look good. Today, it seems miraculously both those once important variables have disappeared

Do you mean the record number of people not in the labor force? There were more people not in the labor force in June of 2019 than in June of 2018 which had more not in the labor force than in June of 2017.
Aren't those record numbers just great? Or is volsrock full of shit for touting the record number of employed while ignoring the increases in population.
