SAMS club has prime rib precooked just warm it up.

Lol, I've also been considering getting a membership there. I'm not impressed with the meat at Walmart. Is Sam's better?

Morning all. Instead of the traditional Christmas dinner we have decided on prime rib. I'm not a big turkey eater and neither are our grand children, so this year we are going non traditional.

Yum! Just a word of warning: It will make your oven very, very messy. But it's so worth it!

I don't mind it so much since I bought a Simplicity Prestige garden tractor. It's cut my mowing time down to just over an hour. It's all good

I think it is. Last time we were there we bought some sirloin steaks and they were very good. The ground beef is good also. I believe our Sam's Club get their meats from a local farm here.

Don't get precooked if possible...Easy to make the "real" thing...no fuss, no muss...I'll send you the recipe

I would want to make prime rib myself,I think precooked might lose something.
Plus I would want to do my own seasoning.

Definitely do the seasoning yourself and don't get a pre-made! They are ridiculously easy to make, but they can sure do a # on your clean oven.

Why do they trash the oven?

Because you cook them at an initial high temp which causes the fat to splatter. They have a lot of fat which of course is what makes them so tender and delicious.

The frosty is like the one we have in the yard except ours is holding a broom. It is even lighted for night viewing.
