I'm largely basis this on the show Designated Survivor, which is now in its third season on Netflix.

Kirkman is an independent, unwilling, and brave President.

Of course, a TV show, but he gives awesome speeches about a third party.

Not that I wish this fictional show was true, due to fictional events, but the speeches and his stance about not being relected just for being and independent and not caving to either party.......
