This is correct. It's not like I did an exhaustive search or anything, but here's a sampling of what I found after a quick internet search:

    https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/...nglish/climate
    Cambridge: no time interval mentioned

    https://www.lexico.com/en/definition/climate
Lexico: "over a long period" (Google also displays this particular definition (slightly altering some of the words, but they still copied from this one) in their "dictionary" box after searching for the definition of the term)

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/climate
Merriam Webster: "usually over a period of years"

    https://www.dictionary.com/browse/climate
Dictionary.com: "throughout the year, averaged over a series of years"

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate
Wikipedia: "over a period of 30 years"

    https://www.thefreedictionary.com/climate
The Free Dictionary: no time interval mentioned

Answer the questions put to you.

Let's take your definition of 'climate' as 'weather in a region over a long time'. How long is 'a long time'? Seconds? Days? Months? Years? Centuries? Millennia? Longer? And how big is a 'region'? The size of a room? A house? A block? A neighborhood? A town? A city? A county? A nation? A continent? A hemisphere? A world? How do you describe the weather over any of these regions?

    Define 'climate change'.

Define 'climate change'. Why would people massively migrate over a phrase that has no meaning?

A great example of how dictionaries do not define any word. They even conflict with each other!

Answer the questions put to you.

Let's take your definition of 'climate' as 'weather in a region over a long time'. How long is 'a long time'? Seconds? Days? Months? Years? Centuries? Millennia? Longer? And how big is a 'region'? The size of a room? A house? A block? A neighborhood? A town? A city? A county? A nation? A continent? A hemisphere? A world? How do you describe the weather over any of these regions?

    Define 'climate change'.

Dictionaries do not define words. That is not their purpose. No dictionary owns any word.

Dictionaries are used to standardize spelling and pronunciation, and provide suggestions for how a word is used; but no dictionary defines any word.

Answer the questions put to you. Stop evading. All you are showing is that you do not have an answer for them.

Seems all you want to do is evade. Since you apparently cannot answer the question put to you, I must therefore conclude:

    * You do not know the difference between 'climate' and 'weather'.
    * You do not know the time interval used for 'climate'.
    * You are unable to quantify 'climate'.
    * You have no definition for 'climate change'. Therefore, you worship that which has no meaning or definition. That THAT's hilarious!

Not at all. I thought that it was a very good question. It highlights the vagueness and subjectiveness of the terminology being used. What you might consider to be "a long time", I might consider to be a rather short period of time. I also might find, say, 'five years' to be "a long time" in one instance, but "a short time" in another instance (perspective).

"Five years" is something that holds a specific and constant meaning. "A long time" means different things for each person (for each circumstance, for each perspective, etc).

I don't have a response to his questioning, as I'd be asking those same questions myself; YOU are the one talking about "climate change" and "regions" and "long periods of time"... I would simply want to know WTF you're even trying to express... YOU are the one who needs to answer those questions.
