    Um...yes...indeed.

Iran, a state sponsor of terrorism, will either cease and desist their acts of terrorism or face the crumbling of their economy and revolution.

Or they may get hit with a MOAB many MOABS.

I believe a bit of ambiguity starting a thread (TOPIC) is often good, allowing the flow to go where it may, not as lead~in opposition of...

In this case I'm in favor.. This position is the opposite of the GOP or Dems traditional positions & glad to see it.....

I can think of a few "thinkers" on the left that have held this/these positions for many years, but not many on the right?? Other than perhaps Buchanan & perhaps Perot which is more centrist..

"So why are we protecting the shipping lanes for other countries (many years) for zero compensation. All of these countries should be protecting their own ships on what has always been a dangerous journey," Trump tweeted.

"We don’t even need to be there in that the U.S. has just become (by far) the largest producer of Energy anywhere in the world!" Trump continued. "The U.S. request for Iran is very simple — No Nuclear Weapons and No Further Sponsoring of Terror!"

Trump's tweet came as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo met with leaders in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to discuss how to counteract Iran's actions in the region.

Pompeo tweeted that he had a "productive" meeting with the king of Saudi Arabia where they discussed "heightened tensions in the region and the need to promote maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz. Freedom of navigation is paramount."

The U.S. has blamed Iran for attacks last week on two oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, but Trump has downplayed the episode, calling it "very minor."

Tensions between the U.S. and Iran have been rising since Trump pulled out of the Obama-era nuclear deal last year. The issue appeared to come to a head last week when Iran shot down a U.S. drone. The two sides have disputed whether it was flying in Iranian airspace.

The U.S. was prepared to launch a military strike in response, but Trump said he called it off after learning at the last minute that it would have killed approximately 150 Iranians.

The Trump administration is expected to announce additional sanctions on Iran on Monday.
President Trump is 100% right here. Nations need to protect their own interests not rely on others to do it for them.

And yet our national interests are heavy in the ME. Protecting other countries that further our national interests is what any President should do.

Not to point of paying for other nations protections with monies or military when they have the means themselves.

    Here's why the US should pay;
ALL of the problems in the Middle East are as a result of the injection of the Zionist virus into its traditional Muslim heartlands. The US is SOLELY responsible for nurturing that virus and blocking treatment of it through United Nations executive action- therefore the US is indirectly the facilitator of Middle East woes and should take responsibility for them .

There wouldn't be any military friction with Iran if Izrael wasn't pushing for it. Izrael is Washington's monster and so Washington owns the Izraeli disaster.

Yes. The Middle East has always been such a calm and peaceful place for thousands of years until just now.
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.
