Thus, during this week’s Democratic debates, the candidates will devote considerable effort to courting the “deplorables.”

Yes, those cuts. Joe Biden just promised to repeal Trump's tax cuts "on day one". I've noticed that you frequently, and erroneously claim, that this is Obama's economy. I don't know why democrats want to wreck Obama's economy on day one, but that's their goal. Try reasoning beyond the the lib-speak. "Corporations" & "Wall Street" meaning EMPLOYERS & 401K MANAGERS aren't evil. If the DNC repeals Trump's tax cuts, we really will relive Obama's economic downturn. 401K valuations were 30% lower, and unemployment was 75% higher. Corporate tax increases only appeal to entitlements addicts. DNC tax & spend payoffs won't Make America Great Again.
