The Republican/Trump demographic is dying off. There are a lot of young people who do not buy Fox Gnus and 2nd amendment stories. The interpretation of the second that the NRA created to sell guns is falling on a generation that wants no part of it. The idea that god chooses the rich to rule is being rejected too. Many seek a kinder and gentler US.

Actually, the Trump demographic covers every voting age demographic. just take a look at the trump rallies.

Over the past year, the median age of the cable channel's audience had dropped to 65. Looking at prime-time numbers alone, Fox viewers kicked back up to 66. Getting away from the median doesn't change the picture much. More than half of the Fox News audience is older than 65.

Maybe it’s already been posted earlier in this thread but I would guess not a lot of young people watch the cable news channels compared to old people.

Two thoughts come to mind:

1) old people today didn’t grow up watching cable news. so the fact that the average age of viewership is older doesn’t mean the youth of today won’t watch in the future

There are lots of cable news stations. Fox has hooked the easily conned and haters. The 35 percent who have no ability to evaluate and weigh facts , only watch Fox Gnus.
