On another tangent, I consider David Gilmour to be one of the most under-rated guitarists in the rock pantheon, as well as the heart and soul of Pink Floyd, with no apologies to Roger Waters.

Waters was their bassist.

He did write The Wall album and a lot of Dark Side as well; so it's clear he was integral as well as Gilmour
( hell the drummer was too for that matter )

Back in the 60's Floyd was the go to music for the midnight show every Friday night at the Miami Planetarium. It fit the "mood" in there
for those of us in the hippie generation. Saw them LIVE, flying pig and all, great music, Gilmour was phenomenal. Now he's an earth worshiper.

I saw them OUTSIDE in an ampitheater ( merriweather post pavilion,Maryland) They had Quad amps stacked up around and behind the audience -
