Only if you're happy with only a h.s. education and making minimum wage the rest of your life. Otherwise you'll plan on going to college or a trade school.

"illegal immigration is an inevitable consequence of having a country we want to live in..."

    Well, no, it's not.

It's a consequence for radical Democrat Socialists who import illegals (non-citizens) with their open borders and then shield them in their sanctuary cities.

It's not a consequence for those who believe in the rule of law.

Why do people come here illegally? (or almost half here illegally came legally and overstayed their visas)

    1) America is the greatest country on the planet

    2) they are avoiding violence where they live

    3) economic opportunity

That's why a wall isn't going to stop those who desire to come here from coming. So how do we address the fundamental issues of what drive folks to come here?

For starters we could crack down on businesses and individuals that hire illegals. Huge fines and/or jail terms will definitely get people's attentions. If you do that there's going to be a massive hit to the U.S. economy but take away the job opportunities and coming to America illegally becomes a lot less desirable.

The other option is to fundamentally reform our immigration system. Employers want the cheap labor immigrants can provide and to many immigrants working low wage low skilled jobs in America is better than their present opportunity. There needs to be a way we can match the employment needs with work visas for folks so it can do legally and we have an idea of who is here.

But no one in Congress or this country can rally around a particular idea to force change and thus we continue with the failing status quo.

    Radical Socialists-“walls don’t work.”

    Border Patrol-“walls work.”

I believe the brave men and women on the ground.

Walls certainly work around Obama’s home...and around prisons.

Arrest and deport, it’s the law...and build more walls, they work.

    I shall address it again:

    Radical Socialists-“walls don’t work.”

    Border Patrol-“walls work.”

I believe the brave men and women on the ground.

Walls certainly work around Obama’s home...and around prisons.

Arrest and deport, it’s the law...and build more walls, they work.

No, you didn’t earl. You didn’t respond to what causes people to come here. Nor did you address the relationship between employers and (cheap) labor.

You don’t dictate my responses, Snowflake.

You are barely able to handle your own responses.

This is whatI I chose to respond.

“illegal immigration is an inevitable consequence of having a country we want to live in..."

Arrest and deport...a million illegals (non-citizens) who already have deportation orders...per President Trump. More to follow.

    It is the law.

You do you Earl. It’s just a fact you’re choosing not to respond to the cause of the problem (nor is our government) and that’s why the problem continues to persist and almost nothing changes.
