A comedian and HBO writer called a Black opponent of reparations a “coon” for testifying before Congress.

Coleman Hughes told a House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing that reparations to the descendants of slaves would “divide the country further” and “insult many black Americans.”

That caused Rae Sanni, who writes for “A Black Lady Sketch Show,” to go off into a torrent of racist abuse on Twitter.

“It’s okay, just for today, to call Coleman Hughes a coon,” she wrote. “He’s arguing against reparations on Juneteenth. He’s Cooneman Hughes til midnight Pacific Standard time.”

Gropin' Joe Biden faces a growing backlash Wednesday for naming two racist senators as examples of people who “got things done” in the Senate.

Gropin' Joe cited DEMOCRATS James Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia at a fundraiser in New York to back up his claim that one of his greatest strengths Is to “bring people together.”

“I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland,” Biden said, briefly imitating the senator’s Southern drawl, according to pool reports. “He never called me ‘boy,’ he always called me ‘son.’”

HOW JPP'S WHITE LIBERALS SEE THEMSELVES

Over the past decade, the baseline attitudes expressed by white leftists have become radically more hypocritical.

In one especially telling example of the broader trend, white liberals recently became the only demographic group in America to display a pro-outgroup bias, meaning that white liberals are the only ones that express a preference for other racial and ethnic communities above their own.

As "woke" ideology has accelerated, a growing faction of white liberals have pulled away from the average opinions held by voters—including minority groups. The revolution in moral sentiment among this one segment has led to a cascade of consequences ranging from changes in the norms and attitudes expressed in media and popular culture, to the adoption of new political rhetoric and electoral strategies of the DEMOCRAT Party.

For the "woke" and their allies, these rapid changes are heralded as signs of progress, leading at times to harsh criticism of anyone who would stand in their way.

This ideological stridency can be powerful weapons against political opponents but are alienating—perhaps deliberately so—to moderates and conservatives.

But, in a sense, no one is put in a more strained and problematic position by the politics of white liberals than the white liberals themselves.

The "woke elite" act like white saviors who must lead the rest of the country, including the racial minorities whose interests they claim to represent, to a vision of justice those supposedly "less enlightened" groups would not choose for themselves.

Over a fairly short time, you see woke social justice terminology appearing in the failing New York Times.

According to a recent content analysis, the percentage of Times articles mentioning race-related and "woke" terms saw unprecedented growth.

For instance, whereas just 0.4% (or 334) of articles referred to "racism" in 2012, this figure had doubled by 2015 (to 0.87% or 813) and reached over 2% (or 2,353) by 2018.

Interestingly, the number of NYT articles mentioning "racism" also closely tracks Google search interest in the term.

Constant media exposure can warp perception of reality by leading the "woke" to overestimate the danger from certain threats. This tendency to overestimate the prevalence and significance of things we are frequently exposed to and thus more easily able to recall is known as the availability heuristic. As a cognitive shortcut for quickly arriving at judgments the availability heuristic can be a useful adaptation in some circumstances but misleading in others.

The aim of "woke" media story preference is to force people to perceive some types of incidents as far more common than they actually are.

When moral emotions become hyperactive and detached from objective reality they divide society into ‘allies’ and enemies; and they generate a level of sanctimonious outrage and judgment that places all dissent beyond the pale.

They are undocumented. They entered the country illegally. And when they were apprehended by U.S. Customs and Border Protection, they were shipped to Nogales from overwhelmed processing facilities in Texas.

But they are still children in cages, not gangsters, not delinquents. Just children, 900 of them, in a makeshift border-town processing center that is larger than a football field. They pass the day sitting on benches or lying side by side on tiny blue mattresses pressed up against each other on nearly every square inch of the floor in the fenced areas.

The Nogales facility is a way station where the children are identified, examined for health problems by the U.S. Public Health Service, vaccinated and then moved to other facilities in Texas, Oklahoma and California until they are placed with relatives already in the country to await their day in Immigration Court.

On Wednesday morning, bowing to pressure from politicians, the CBP allowed journalists to tour this warehouse of humanity. In essence, it is a juvenile prison camp.

The children, mostly of high-school and junior-high-school age, are housed behind 18-foot-high chain-link fences topped with razor wire.

They are segregated by age and gender: There is one area for those 12 and under. There are areas for boys and girls ages 13 to 15, and still more for boys and girls ages 16 and 17.

Nylon tarps, tied to the fences, provide a modicum of privacy between the groups. They share the kind of portable toilets used at fairs and construction sites, placed inside the cages and vented with clothes-dryer hoses.
