    a. a majority would support the motion though on paper they're opposed, no votes have actually been cast - they'd follow the leader on this one
    b. even an impeachment attempt would bolster Democratic chances next Fall, 48% of the voters are currently opposed, and those numbers would drop like a stone if she pulled the trigger

big mistake not to impeach..........a solid 55-60% of the voters already detest the criminal in the WH
she is not saying they wont Impeach

Here is why Nancy is Nervous: it’s a mistake to not impeach because her radical lefty flank is demanding it.

But it’s an even bigger mistake to impeach. Holding an impeachment vote but coming up short in the House is a loser, politically. But holding the vote and having it pass and end up in the Senate could spell disaster for Democrats because the investigation that Trump allegedly obstructed, itself, may be tainted by corruption.

The only card Nancy has to play is to make a pretense of going for impeachment and hope ‘the talk’ will drag Trump down.

    It’s textbook political theater.
Coup has started. First of many steps. Impeachment will follow ultimately~WB attorney Mark Zaid, January 2017

The rightys rely on Clinton's impeachment was followed by public rejection. Clinton's arose out of consensual sex between 2 adults. The people thought that was silly and a waste of time and money. Trump is getting nailed for the same things that Nixon fled the office to escape judgment. He obstructed justice and has ignored the emoluments. Those are real and fundamental to the office.
Nancy is a politician and counts the political votes. She knows the accumulating crimes of Trump will move the House. But McConnell's Senate will not try Trump if he shoots Hillary in the Oval Office. It comes down to her whether the attempt is politically positive or not.

And when you do pull that trigger and shoot your foot off by failing, you lose any credibility you might have left.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Wednesday ruled out a congressional censure of President Trump, a move some lawmakers have suggested as a less divisive alternative to launching impeachment proceedings.

“No. I think censure is just a way out,” Pelosi told reporters. “If you’re going to go, you’ve got to go. In other words, if the goods are there, you must impeach, and censure is nice, but it is not commensurate with the violations of the Constitution, should we decide that’s the way to go.”

She added that a censure of Trump would be “a day at the beach for the president, or at his golf club, or wherever he goes.”

Pelosi, speaking at a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, continued to counsel a deliberate approach to building a case that Trump attempted to obstruct the investigation of Robert S. Mueller III into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. She has been resisting calls from 70 House members — all Democrats but one — to launch impeachment proceedings.

....there's already EVIDENCE OUT THE ASS Trump is at the very least obstructing justice - since DAY ONE

    THE GOODS....have never BEEN THERE.

Obstructing JUSTICE? You mean defending himself from an illegal civil rights breech? That OBSTRUCTION where there was never a crime to obstruct?
