Default Iran Continues Aggression by Shooting Down Unarmed US Drone in International Airspace

In another act of unprovoked aggression, the cowards of the Iraniana Revolutionary Guard attacked an unarmed US Air Force drone, in international airspace over the Straight of Hormuz, as it surveilled the area for damaged vessels in need of rescue, like the unarmed civilian tankers mined by Iran in two incidents just this month...

Apparently , the Iranian "Navy" ( chuckle) needs to be sent to the bottom of the Gulf....again.

As their people suffer due to their terrorist activities in the Gulf and elsewhere, foolish actions such as this further incite the Iranian People to forcibly remove the Mullahs of Jihad....

Strait of Hormuz: US confirms drone shot down by Iran

A US military surveillance drone has been shot down by Iranian forces while flying over the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said the aircraft had violated Iranian airspace, and that the incident sent a "clear message to America".

But the US military insisted the drone had been over international waters at the time, and condemned what it called an "unprovoked attack" by the IRGC.

It comes at a time of escalating tension between the US and Iran.

On Monday, the US defense department said it was deploying 1,000 extra troops to the region in response to "hostile behaviour" by Iranian forces. It has already sent an aircraft carrier strike group and B-52 bombers.

The US has also accused Iran of attacking two oil tankers with mines last Thursday just outside the Strait of Hormuz, in the Gulf of Oman. Iran rejects the allegation.

It was the second time in a month tankers had been attacked close in the region, through which a fifth of the world's oil passes each day.

The US military's Central Command later confirmed that a US Navy Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS-D) aircraft was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile system while operating in what it said was international airspace over the Strait of Hormuz at approximately 23:35 GMT on Wednesday (04:05 Iran time on Thursday).

"Iranian reports that the aircraft was over Iran are false," spokesman Navy Capt Bill Urban said. "This was an unprovoked attack on a US surveillance asset in international airspace."

The BAMS-D is a RQ-4A Global Hawk High-Altitude, Long, Endurance (HALE) drone that can carry out surveillance and reconnaissance missions over vast ocean and coastal regions, according to the US military.

Iran claimed responsibility for the attack, already.

So there is no doubting who shot down the US drone, an MQ-4C Triton. It is a massive aircraft with a wing-span equivalent to a small airliner. But the two sides differ as to where it happened. The Iranians say it was in their airspace; the Americans say that it was not.

No, it was surveilling the Bitches of Allah's continued nonsense....

This will happen again...shortly, if the Iranipussies keep screwing up....

    PRAYING MANTIS

In 1988, it wasn't a flagged merchant who hit an Iranian-laid mine. This time it was a US Navy ship, the USS Samuel B. Roberts. Unfortunately for Iran, Ronald Reagan was still President, and the USS Enterprise carrier group was in the area. An entire battalion of United States Marines assaulted an oil platform being used to stage Iranian attacks in the Gulf. When the platform tried to fire on the Americans, they were punished for the effort from US Navy destroyers and Cobra helicopters.

The Iranians responded by sending an Iranian missile boat, the Joshan, straight at the U.S. fleet. When Joshan missed that shot, the American fleets overwhelmed the ship with missiles and guns, sending her to the bottom. Meanwhile, Iranian aircraft and destroyers joined the fray, one destroyer was sunk the other was heavily damaged, and the Iranian fighters were no match for US Navy A-6 Intruders.

Grok continues to feed his insatiable desire to troll.

It's US fault (Trump's hawks and the deal pullout) that we are in this shape, but I do not believe Iran
at all. It bombed that Swiss? ship and it shot down the drone in international territory. It's doing this because the sanctions are crippling
and it needs to force someone's hands for relief as they are feeling it. Ultimately all US fault, but Iran is lying laughably
like Trump does every day about all these brinksmanship skirmish stuff.
