call me what the fuck you want to -but don't call me a Russiaphobic warmonger

We did nothing to affect Russia's grid/infrastructure... yet
The US is escalating cyber attacks on Russia's electric power grid

They've done nothing to ours either.... yet. Child, think of this as stockpiling weapons just in case. You're a Reichtard -- isn't this something that you all desire more than anything? Isn't that why those of your persuasion stockpile personal weapons and ammo.... just in case?
in your rush to pigeonhole me, you ignore how many times I have decried bloated Defense budgets to serve the Phobes ever increasing paranoia.

"Putin has his eye on the Baltics!" "Putin will cross into Poland"-and absolutely none of this
Russiaphobic paranoia has ANY basis in fact

We are simply letting this enemy of our country know that we are ready, if you decide to fuck with us.
you think they don't know this already? Sanctions /NATO expansion?/European Reassurance Initiative?

Did you see Andrzej Duda (Polish President) at the WH the other day? what was he there for?
he want a US military base in Poland!!
Putin gets it. he hears the wardrums.
But espionage is low grade warfare that can turn hot in a minute.. it's DANGEROUS GAME

Used to be that "conservatives" were patriots who stood up to defend our country against Russia and other enemies. Now you are weak-willed wimps who sound like 1930s British politicians who thought that they should make nice with the Nazis because they haven't done anything. Yet.
The Russians are Coming ! The Russians are Coming!! *pathetic hyperbole*

If you need an outlet for your war-mongering faux outrage, focus on what's going on with our current WH idiots and Iran.
Iran is a horse of a different color.
Their Qods force are malign actors intent on running Syria and putting the entire region at risk
Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism .we have an agreement with Russia to cooperate on anti-terrorism

New York Times: US ramping up cyber attacks on Russia

    By Kate Sullivan, CNN
Updated 11:26 AM ET, Sun June 16, 2019

NYT: Officials wary of telling Trump about Russia strategy

Washington (CNN)The US is escalating cyber attacks on Russia's electric power grid and has placed potentially crippling malware inside the Russian system, The New York Times reportedSaturday.

The placement of the malware that deep within the Russian grid had never previously been attempted, the Times reports, and is intended partly as a warning and also to put the US in a position to conduct cyber attacks should a significant conflict arise with Russia.

Two administration officials told the Times they believed President Donald Trump had not been briefed in any detail about the US computer code being implanted inside the Russian grid.

Pentagon and intelligence officials describe to the Times "broad hesitation" to tell Trump about the
details of the operations against Russia. They tell the Times there was concern over how Trump would react,
and the possibility that Trump might reverse the operations or discuss it with foreign officials.

Trump said in a string of tweets Saturday evening that the Times report was "NOT TRUE," calling the Times' reporting "a virtual act of Treason".

"Do you believe that the Failing New York Times just did a story stating that the United States is substantially increasing Cyber Attacks on Russia. This is a virtual act of Treason by a once great paper so desperate for a story, any story, even if bad for our Country....."

The Times responded to Trump's tweet, pointing out its note in the story that they had about their reporting.
In 2017, Trump shared highly classified information with the Russian foreign minister and Russian ambassador to the US in a White House meeting, The Washington Post first reported and CNN later confirmed.

In interviews with current and former government officials over the past three months with the Times, officials describe the deployment of US computer code into Russia's grid and other targets as part of a shift to a more offensive strategy.

The incursion into the Russian electric power grid seems to have been conducted under new legal authorities in the military authorization bill passed by Congress last year, the Times reports. Under the law, the defense secretary can authorize, without special presidential approval, routine "clandestine military activity" in cyberspace, according to the Times.

Trump issued new authorities last summer to the United States Cyber Command, which is part of the Pentagon and runs the US military's defensive and offensive online operations, the Times reports. The classified document gives the commander of Cyber Command, Gen. Paul Nakasone, the power to conduct offensive online operations without needing presidential approval....

LMAO... Thanks for proving how gullible morons on the left are.

Let's get this straight... According to the nyt, the national Intel agencies are withholding info from the President for fear he might leak it. Yet these same Intel agencies are not only sharing their distrust of the President with the press, but they are also telling the press all the details they are afraid the President might leak with people they know will report it to the world?

Is that the gist of it?

    Fucking morons

Its been proven based on evidence and tRump's acts of soliciting Russians to hack the election in his favor in 2016 and his second act of high treason among many incidents, in particular, recently saying he would take foreign help to lawlessly hack the 2020 election in his favor. Therefore, these two blatant acts of treason alone demonstrates that tRump is not only a fake president but a demagogue and felonious hostile tyrant who is no friend of America. I suppose this explains why tRump and his lap dog Miller and other demonic trash of his administration needed to be kept out of the loop, and who would obviously do all they can to disrupt attempts to protect the sovereignty of America against both foreign and domestic enemies. Considering tRump cannot be trusted as a enemy of America at being friends of America's enemies, it appears certain powers needed to take on the role of Commander in Chief, considering tRump is too incompetent, insane and illegitimate to be a real Commander in Chief. Also at comparing President Obama with tRump's atrocities is really not fair. This is considering, unlike tRump, President Obama was legally elected in compliance with U.S. Constitutional law and the will of the majority two times. This means that President Obama joined Democracy at defending America against foreign enemies, in particular, Russian enemies of civilization. This is something that tRump would never do as demonstrated when it comes to standing up to Russia but has betrayed America on so many occasions in order to give aid and comfort to his Russian pimps and other deplorable affiliates he has in the world.

As long as something doesn't go seriously 'off the rails', the above might be safer course of affairs. Inform him 'after' its' over and they have done whatever they feel is the best thing to do. Anything dire and god only knows what will happen. I pray they WILL NOT CARRY OUT BAD ORDERS! I think about it every day.

But BARR has lowered the bar for sycophancy, COVER UP, kissing ass, and I must assume PROTECTING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY, I just don't know if there are many or any men high enough up the chains of command who will stand up and DO THE RIGHT THING! I've never seen anything like this!

I even have concerns that MUELLER straddled a fine line--to protect Trump. And that sickens me to type it.

The first sentence of the article directly linked this cyberattack to alleged Russian hacking of the email accounts of the DNC and John Podesta — what is now routinely referred to as “Russian hacking of our election” — by referencing the code name revealed on Wednesday by the Obama administration when it announced sanctions on Russian officials: “A code associated with the Russian hacking operation dubbed Grizzly Steppe by the Obama administration has been detected within the system of a Vermont utility, according to U.S. officials.”

The Post article contained grave statements from Vermont officials of the type politicians love to issue after a terrorist attack to show they are tough and in control.

The state’s Democratic governor, Peter Shumlin, said:

Vermonters and all Americans should be both alarmed and outraged that one of the world’s leading thugs, Vladimir Putin, has been attempting to hack our electric grid, which we rely upon to support our quality of life, economy, health, and safety. This episode should highlight the urgent need for our federal government to vigorously pursue and put an end to this sort of Russian meddling.
Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy issued a statement warning: “This is beyond hackers having electronic joy rides — this is now about trying to access utilities to potentially manipulate the grid and shut it down in the middle of winter. That is a direct threat to Vermont and we do not take it lightly.”

The article went on and on in that vein, with all the standard tactics used by the U.S. media for such stories: quoting anonymous national security officials, reviewing past acts of Russian treachery, and drawing the scariest possible conclusions (“‘The question remains: Are they in other systems and what was the intent?’ a U.S. official said”).

The media reactions, as Alex Pfeiffer documents, were exactly what one would expect: hysterical, alarmist proclamations of Putin’s menacing evil:

Our Russian "friend" Putin attacked the U.S. power grid. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world...=.aff0f2bacb42

It makes you wonder 'Who is in charge?'.

I sure hope we don't get attacked. Maybe the Military reacts, maybe they follow Trump's orders and we bomb Europe, maybe it's a Free For All and we just bomb everyone?

If they can undermine the Russian electricity grid, why can't they do us all a favor and disable Trump's twitter account?
