"When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."
A lie doesn't become the truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good just because it is accepted by a majority.

His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. something to sweep away garbage seemed appropriate to the OP......
My wife has leukemia and one of her many drugs is Gleevec which is a mere 100 K a year. Your drug comment is wrong. Lots of people have to cut their pills in half because they can not afford to use them as prescribed. We have a very serious problem in America due to prescription prices. We pay by far the highest drug prices in the world. I live in Michigan and many Detroiters cross over the bridge or use the tunnel and buy drugs at much lower prices in Canada. You just have to lie about why you went there to customs.
America has the highest prices, but they don't make them here. PHARM is outrageously wealthy with incredible profits. They don't care about the health of the people. They just want your money.
Medicare is prohibited from asking drug companies to compete for their purchasing. That allows them to charge top dollar and make max profits off taxpayers Our system sucks.

Your wife could take chlorambucil or cyclophosphamide for her CLL. They are cheaper. I just saved you $99,000 a year
Of course Gleevic has increased the survival rate of CLL, but let’s not quibble about such trivialities. You want cheap drugs. I just provided you two alternatives.
Good luck with your cheap drugs
The cost of an Epipen for those who have severe allergic reactions is another example of pharm and capitalism run amuck. The other disgusting thing about Epipen pricing is that it was originally developed and paid for with taxpayer funds, then one company was given exclusive rights to market it.
I am sorry to hear of your wife's struggle. I hope that she will be well again.

Obama wanted Medicare to be able to negotiate drug prices. Where do you see this in the Toadstool's sop to the base? A typical TV commercial for some prescription drug runs 30 seconds. The first 25 are devoted to how wonderful the drug is, how it will make your life SO much better. The last five rush through the adverse side effects. Let's tack on the pricing: "Now only $17.59 per dose!" How is that going to affect anything? Ppl know their insurance will cover it. Many consumers, including most of the Toadstool's followers, are not smart enough to understand that pharmaceutical prices are driving the outrageous premiums we pay.
