    Default Bernie Sanders calls for “21st Century Bill of Rights”

    Kudos to Bernie Sanders as he knocks it out of the park...AGAIN!!!

    Sen. Bernie Sanders delivered a vigorous defense of democratic socialism in a lengthy speech at George Washington University on Wednesday. He called for a "21st Century Bill of Rights," invoking the legacy of Franklin D. Roosevelt and the New Deal while taking aim at President Trump.

    Such brilliance it should have been televised by every network live.

    If the (D)s want to win the WH in 2020, they need to seriously support this guy as a candidate. My kids (ages 32 - 44) support him, as do dozens of other ppl in their age cohort that I know personally. They're fairly meh about Biden and the others.

    Warren is brilliant as well. They would make a great ticket.

    I would give them a serious consideration. I'd still like to see some of our younger progressives get in the mix.

    From one of my friends, borrowed with permission:
    ~~~
    Things I can guarantee you will not hear on either of the two nights of the first Democratic debate:
    1) References to the size of one's penis, or to be bi-gender, bra size;
    2) References to how ugly another candidate's face is, so ugly no one could imagine him or her being president;
    3) Implications that another candidate has lost bladder control and is standing in a pool of urine;
    4) Observations that a candidate is slow to return after the break because the candidate is still in the bathroom;
    5) Slurs directed to a candidate's mother, or brother, or any other relative;
    6) Any third-grade level name calling of any other candidate.
    What you will hear:
    1) People speaking in complete and grammatically correct sentences. You may not agree with what they have to say, but you will understand it.
    Yes, agree. Even if they have to start out as a running mate, it's a foot in the door. The (D)s really, really need to start appealing more to voters 18 - 50.
    ... and to the Working Class. Importation of Third World Labor to replace American Labor is NOT a winning strategy.
    After the debates we will know who the actual Progressives are. I am not so sure that the younger ones have the most Progressive voting records and/or stances on the policies.
