As Senator Sanders so eloquently stated...

Right now, in the United States of America, three families control more wealth than the bottom half of our country, some 160 million Americans. The top 1% own more wealth than the bottom 92% and 49% of all new income generated today goes to the top 1%. In fact, income and wealth inequality today in the United States is greater than at any time since the 1920s.

After decades of policies that have encouraged and subsidized unbridled corporate greed, we now have an economy that is fundamentally broken and grotesquely unfair.
Which is why we need to rid the nation of the crime syndicate that is also known as the GOP.

As FDR stated in his 1944 State of the Union address: “We have come to a clear realization of the fact that true individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence.”

Today, our Bill of Rights guarantees the American people a number of important constitutionally protected political rights. And while we understand that these rights have not always been respected and we have so much more work to do, we are proud that our constitution guarantees freedom of religion, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, a free press and other rights because we understand that we can never have true American freedom unless we are free from authoritarian tyranny.

    Hijacking a thread bumpkin? lol

More pearls of wisdom from Senator Sanders...

In 1944, FDR proposed an economic bill of rights but died a year later and was never able to fulfil that vision. Our job, 75 years later, is to complete what Roosevelt started.

That is why today, I am proposing a 21st Century Economic Bill of Rights.

A Bill of Rights that establishes once and for all that every American, regardless of his or her income in entitled to:

The right to a decent job that pays a living wage
The right to quality health care
The right to a complete education
    The right to affordable housing
The right to a clean environment
The right to a secure retirement

    More from Bernie...

Let us never forget the unbelievable hypocrisy of Wall Street, the high priests of unfettered capitalism.

In 2008, after their greed, recklessness and illegal behavior created the worst financial disaster since the Great Depression – with millions of Americans losing their jobs, their homes and their life savings – Wall Street’s religious adherence to unfettered capitalism suddenly came to an end.

Overnight, Wall Street became big government socialists and begged for the largest federal bailout in American history – some $700 billion from the Treasury and trillions in support from the Federal Reserve.
Only a candidate with these ideals can set the USA on the right track. A revolution was fought to do away with serfs and lords and an aristocracy. The current day right wingers are akin to the revolution's loyalists who were supporters of a monarchy ruled country.

    Reposting what I posted earlier:

For starters you're advocating for massive government involvement in the economy to "create" jobs for everyone

As far as affordable housing are you pushing for the elimination of private property? Because no matter how progressive someone claims to be watch their reaction if you try to take their property or build affordable housing near them and have it affect their property values. Where do you envision this likely government run affordable housing to be built and funded?

One of my favorite lines here in the Bay Area is fighting to keep "neighborhood character". Allow me to translate that for you. It means we don't want new development and we definitely don't want increased density in our neighborhood via multi-family development.

How would you define a "complete" education?

What’s you opinion on what the Fed has done over the past decade with three rounds of QE and the resulting asset inflation and expansion of economic inequality?

Gee...I don't know..maybe actually listening to the video or reading the transcript before responding so that an opinion is of the informed kind.

Yes- the ' re-Americanization ' of America. Millions will go for that- particularly the millions of desperately poor .
I'll keep listening as Sanders lays it out.

Also when it comes to being a traitor and a communist disguised as a Independent to deceive Democracy and the youth and his part at corrupting the 2016 election in tRump and Putin's favor, I call for feeling the Bern's U.S. citizenship to be revoked and for him to be banished to Russia or whatever the hell his communist and treachery exists outside of U.S. territory.

What happens when there's nothing left to take from the rich? Will Bernie then start taking personal property to support those who are too lazy to earn it themselves?
Someone has to pay for all his free shit. Will you help, stupid foreigner?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

You remember Stalin don’t you? Murdered millions of his own people to bring about this communist utopia you crave where everyday is puppy dogs and unicorns. Healthcare, college, housing and food are free. Nobody has to work.

Just curious. If your housing, healthcare and food are paid for by the 1%, why do you even need to go to college?
