Yet both are socialism. The only different is how far the socialism is carried forward. Fascism is on the road to communism.
It is not bullshit. You can read the Communist Manifesto yourself here.
Socialist Norway has no federal debt.
And they live longer than Americans.

Next time you start in on, "Your side does it more" you should understand that first it is still a confession, and secondly, you only think "they do it more" because often you agree with the fear mongering on your own side (not you personally, just "you" or "we" as a whole). It is something I try to be mindful of when defending somebody on a subject I agree with them on... reminding myself to "use your brain all the time," as we tend to shut down the careful filter we might set up, say here or while watching a specific news outlet that may disagree with you editorially, when we tune in to those sources that tend to agree editorially. We then do not really see, for example, that fear mongering ad with grandma getting tossed off a cliff by a lookalike of the "bad guys" when we've rested that filter... Just because somebody agrees with your position doesn't mean they aren't "exaggerating" (read lying) to attempt to scare you into action (again not you personally, the royal "we" type of you).
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

While I'd love to say you are right, it isn't true. Fascistic economic policy was to direct privately owned businesses through a conglomeration that they called cartels that were made up both of bureaucrats and the leaders of the industries that were being controlled by the cartel. The best example of this today in the United States would be The Affordable Care Act, which left the insurance providers in the hands of private companies but told them exactly what they could sell, how they could sell it, to whom they had to sell it, and in some cases how much it would cost.
Anyway, while fascism controlled the companies, the government didn't own it and they were not nationalized in the sense that you state here.
