Then the Dems picked it up. They hired Steele to check out Trumps deals in Russia. He is a Brit who, when he found terrible things, informed the FBI of what he found. Very above board. The entire Dem investigation was not for the benefit of a foreign country, especially a long time foe like Russia.
However, the Russian hacking was done to help Trump. But the real benefit was to Russia helping make American elections look dishonest and to foment American infighting. They helped sponsor some demonstrations. They wanted to make America look like it was in turmoil and not being true to its principles. The rightys were happy to oblige. Saying they are the same is flat out wrong. There was no foreign entity sponsoring it or getting involved in the Dem research to help a foreign country. IMHO there is & has been a lot of discord on many sides/all sides in the USA for many years now & while the russians did not create these issues they have made a concerted effort to exploit them to the detriment of the country..

So when we attack fellow Americans rightly or not so much, we are doing pretty much what they are striving for.

It is really sad that some in our country have more trust & respect for foreign adversarial leaders than our own loyal opposition..........
