Default "Trump asserts executive privilege over subpoenaed census doacuments"

"President Trump has asserted executive privilege over congressionally subpoenaed documents on the addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 census, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday."

"The announcement comes as the House Oversight and Reform Committee is set to vote on whether to hold Attorney General William Barr and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross in contempt for failing to comply with congressional subpoenas for the documents."

Which immediately raises the question, why?

Why go to such ends to halt the delivery of documents that led to the Commerce Department's decision now add a citizenship question? What is the reason for not wanting America to understand why they felt we need that question at this time?

Has nothing to do with Trump's private life, the Committee is exercising their lawful responsibilities, so why is Trump going to such lengths to insure the documents never see the light of day? Why does he want to keep them hidden from Americans?

To quote one of Trump's biggest lackeys that we have heard him say endlessly over the last decade, "Americans have the right to know"

Two questions for YOU, and whatever jackasses are investigating this vital matter:

    1) The question was on the census for years, if not decades. Why was it taken off?

    2) Don't "Americans have the right to know" who is in their country illegally?

To take a guess as to why he asserted executive privilege, it's probably just a little revolt in answer to all the cooperation he's been getting from the demorats(sarcasm alert). But now the "investigation" will heat up, it'll be condemned as "racist" and "immoral", and it'll go to the 9th circus and be overturned, then it'll go to the SCOTUS and be upheld, and you losers will, once again, have succeeded in accomplishing NOTHING for the American people
