    Default Trumpkins are getting so bent out of shape over the Citizenship question decision

    when they should be celebrating the gift Roberts gave them in the gerrymandering cases

    Although both parties gerrymander, the majority of State Legislatures are controlled by Republicans, meaning no matter what the population numbers come in at in the 2020 census the Republicans can gerrymander enough unwanted voters into a couple two three districts. Voters won't be picking their leaders anymore, leaders will be selecting their voters, division and partisanship will only be further entrenched

    And the most inane part is Robert's logic, "excessive partisanship in districting leads to results that reasonably seem unjust. But the fact that such gerrymandering is 'incompatible with democratic principles,' does not mean that the solution lies with the federal judiciary," Roberts wrote.

    So now Courts aren't to be concerned with democratic principles? Is Roberts that naive to actually think that those that practice gerrymandering are actually going to clean up their own act? Or is Roberts the political hack he tries to pretend that he and his Court isn't?

    even if we don't ask, we can estimate how many illegals are in the California count and reduce their representatives accordingly.......

    No, but if you controlled the Calf legislature you could put them all in one district just like they are sure do in the Red States now that Roberts has delivered the OK

    Thanks to Democrats, slaves used to be counted in the census. Thanks to Federalists, only 3/5 of them, of course...

    Perhaps the states will just pass laws defining illegal immigrants as Indians. The Constitution says they can be discounted for the purposes of apportionment.

    The people in affected states should cut the bullshit, overthrow their undemocratic unrepresentative legislatures in a revolution, and reestablish the government under democratic principles. The federal government has no right to intervene here, it is a purely internal state question they have no rights to intervene over. The people should not just sit idly by and obey the dictates of an unrepresentative body that basically selected itself and feels no responsibility to actually represent the state.

    Texas also has a number of seats they wouldn't if it were not for the presence of the hated unpersons you speak of.
