If it weren't so expensive, Boston might be a good fit, since it is low-violent-crime, but also close to ski mountains.

So, ah, how long have you been delusional? No need to answer.

I'd give New England a try but wifey insists on the Pacific Northwest.

Correct and in Seville where I lived, it meant a dandy fight.

Stay out there Doc. Better off. New England is getting crowded and not with the most brilliant as of late.

Twists words. Thinks she (or he I am wondering now) has more intellect. Fails miserably.

That strikes me as an inviting a True Scotsman fallacy -- as in, I could point out all sorts of problems that are worse in rural America, like much worse every health, life expectancy, and education levels, but that would just cause you to conclude those are not problems "that need fixing" -- consistent with your initial statement. Meanwhile, problems from the cities, even if most people never encounter them (I've lived in a city uninterrupted for three years and have never seen human excrement on the streets) would be defined as a problem that needs fixing.
We seem to survive pretty well on our own. We grow the food for your cities, you'd never survive without us.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Of the ten states with the highest dependency on that list, nine were Trump states, while the highly urbanized and liberal states, like New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and California, tend to have below-median dependency.
You are a weak debater. WTF? LOL do you ever stay on point?

Grow their food, provide their energy, are the go to people when the shit hits the fan in this country, etc, etc. City dwellers are delusional and completely, utterly, fucked in the head.

You'll see people from wealthier European countries like Switzerland, Germany, or the UK retiring to more economically distressed European countries like Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece, because their money will go farther. Likewise, in Asia, a large number of Japanese people retire in Malaysia, and you'll find lots of ex-pat Australians retired in places like Thailand. When economic mismanagement has held earnings down in an area, a person can take the bankroll she built up while living in a high-productivity/high-education market, and retire in luxury in that poorer area. It works particularly well for homeowners -- for example, you can sell a fairly modest $600,000 home somewhere near a West Coast or Northeastern city, and use the money to buy a luxurious retirement home in a poorer area, with money left over for vacations, etc. Especially if you're willing to buy in a rural area, you could get a McMansion for half the money.
So you are the parasite class, eh? You liberals just scummy people. Degenerates who want everyone to be as lowly as you. Go be your trashy self and leave the rest of us alone, liberal scum

Take them out in the woods, come back an hour later and they would be running into tree trunks screaming for help.

She thinks she's above us rural people. but will she be able to survive without us? Nope. There are people with Master's and Doctorate's that can't change a tire, how could they operate farm equipment, much less repair it? Could they tell the difference between a weed and a soybean plant? I doubt it. But yeah, if the shit hits the fan, I'm not worried.

They generally think a hard days work is having to walk to the corner latte coffee shop because they could not get it delivered. And a really bad day is when they get there and the latte machine is broken.
