it was just announced by both parties - I don't even know if there is a signature needed.
But there are a couple of things that make it real.

Mexico's new National Guard ( formed to go after criminal enterprises - a civilian force instead of a military)
is just forming up - having passed Mexican Congress back in Feb.
so the new agency will task 6,000 to the southern border as well as internal .

Mexico FM announced the agreement - much more then the previous "understanding"as this is back by a hard promise to add in tariffs of they do not. and promises of more "measures as needed".


It's about the best deal possible with Obrador - but the real solution is Congress reforming asylum laws.
