Contrary to what you’re hearing in the Bubble, impeachment wouldn’t fail in the Senate because Republicans are under control of Putin—or whatever. Number one, the evidence isn’t that great: really good obstruction evidence goes beyond threatening to obstruct or even ordering people to. Secondly and more importantly, there was no underlying crime: there was no collusion. The search for Collusion was a multimillion dollar Snipe Hunt.

Months ago, I was telling your lefty peers how important it was for Mullet to find collusion. The importance couldn’t be overstated, in fact. Everything hinged on Trump conspiring with Russia to affect the election because without it, whatever else Mullet came up with [and it was obvious he was either going to bait Trump into an obstruction charge or try and get him in a perjury trap] was going to be mitigated by the fact he struck out on the central mission to the investigation.

Reason being is that impeachment is a political process and democrats would give every appearance of using collusion as a pretext to entrap Trump in an unrelated charge. Republicans will be all over that in an impeachment trial. They would also highlight the fact Trump waived executive privilege throughout the whole investigation. He allowed WH council to be subject to 30 hours of interview—when he didn’t have to. And etc.

I also warned the lefties that if Mullet came up empty that that wouldn’t be the end of it. I told them there would be no ‘oopsies, oh well, I guess we were wrong about collusion’. I warned there would be a serious investigation of how, exactly, so much of our intelligence apparatus could be so wrong about something that they ended up spying on a presidential campaign and nearly derailed a presidency in the process.

    I warned them, repeatedly.

But I’ll be very surprised if the impeachment train does anything more than circle the depot. But if it does, and impeachment reaches the Senate, Democrats won’t come out of it looking very pretty.

    Yes, that’s a warning.
Collusion isn’t necessary. The 10 instances of obstruction is sufficient.

Let’s get those financial records so we cn look at emoluments, bank and insurance fraud. Then, even the Senate cowards cand be convinced

Governments investigating a citizen, until they find something, is something they do in places like Mother Russia lol.

I’m sure that irony totally escapes you.
Coup has started. First of many steps. Impeachment will follow ultimately~WB attorney Mark Zaid, January 2017

If Trump was clean he would not be investigated. Suspicion swirls constantly about him. If you go on international TV and you say you hope Russia finds Hillary's emails, and then Russia DOES? And they release them to WIKILEAKS? WITHIN HOURS OF THE STATEMENT?

    THAT'S SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY!

You don't do anything suspicious you don't get investigated.

We should go over these one at a time.

    A. The Campaign's Response to Reports About Russian Support for Trump

President Trump denied that Russia was supporting him for President. That was a lie. The fact show otherwise.

That’s the summary. The details of each one are later in Volume II.

He said he accepted Putin's word over the US FBI.

That was his response to the notion of Russian support for Trump.

He took Putin's word even though the FBI said Russia interfered with the election in Trump's favor.

From the Mueller Report, on the campaign's response to Russian interference in the 2016 election:

"During the 2016 campaign, the media raised questions about a possible connection between the Trump Campaign and Russia. The questions intensified after WikiLeaks released politically damaging Democratic Party emails that were reported to have been hacked by Russia. Trump responded to questions about possible connections to Russia by denying any business involvement in Russia-even though the Trump Organization had pursued a business project in Russia as late as June 2016. Trump also expressed skepticism that Russia had hacked the emails at the same time as he and other Campaign advisors privately sought information about any further planned WikiLeaks releases. After the election, when questions persisted about possible links between Russia and the Trump Campaign, the President-Elect continued to deny any connections to Russia and privately expressed concerns that reports of Russian election interference might lead the public to question the legitimacy of his election."

    Thank you, Robert Mueller:

"On July 22, 2016, the day before the Democratic National Convention, WikiLeaks posted thousands of hacked DNC documents revealing sensitive internal deliberations. Soon thereafter, Hillary Clinton's campaign manager publicly contended that Russia had hacked the DNC emails and arranged their release in order to help candidate Trump. On July 26, 2016, the New York Times reported that U.S. " intelligence agencies ha[d] told the White House they now have ' high confidence' that the Russian government was behind the theft of emails and documents from the Democratic National Committee."

Within the Trump Campaign, aides reacted with enthusiasm to reports of the hacks. [HOM] discussed with Campaign officials that WikiLeaks would release the hacked material. Some witnesses said that Trump himself discussed the possibility of upcoming releases [HOM]. Michael Cohen, then-executive vice resident of the Trump Organization and special counsel to Trump, recalled hearing [HOM]. Cohen recalled that Trump responded, "oh good, alright," and [Harm to Ongoing Matter].

Manafort said that shortly after WikiLeaks july 22nd 2016 release of hacked documents, hes spoke to Trump [HOM]; Manafort recalled that Trump responded that Manafort should [HOM] keep Trump updated. Deputy campaign manager Rick Gates said that Manafort was getting pressure about [HOM] information and that Manafort instructed Gates [HOM] status updates on upcoming releases.

Around the same time, Gates was with Trump on a trip to an airport [HOM], and shortly after the call ended Trump told Gates that more releases of damaging information would be coming. [HOM] were discussed within the Campaign, and in the summer of 2016, the Campaign was planning a communications strategy based on the possible release of Clinton emails by WikiLeaks."

Yeah. Trump is so clean he stinks.

And every place it says [HOM] is something omitted because it is under active investigation.

How can anybody with such knowledge fool themselves into saying 'it's over?'

What a silly thing to do.
