awesome..
now they gotta croak out spending bills (and you know it will be an Omnibus - at least the repubs passed individual bill)
and a debt ceiling , and then they can go back to impeachment / being dormant life forms
Will we finally get something done??
Continue or will their feuds continue to hold us hostage??
The House passed a long-delayed aid bill on Monday that will send $19.1 billion to states and territories hit by flooding, wildfires, tornadoes, hurricanes and other natural disasters in recent months.
The legislation passed by a wide bipartisan margin and now goes to President Trump. The president has described the bill as “great” and is expected to sign it. The vote ended a months-long saga on Capitol Hill as the disaster bill, typically a bipartisan affair, fell victim to grinding delays.
The legislation languished for months as Trump and Democrats fought over aid to Puerto Rico, which will ultimately receive more than $1 billion in the bill. There were also internal squabbles among Republicans, a fight over immigration and, finally, after the Senate passed the bill last month, objections by a small handful of conservatives in the House who prevented the bill from passing while Congress was out of town for Memorial Day.
As the months passed, additional natural disasters hit the United States and the bill had to be rewritten to address some of them, particularly the flooding in the Midwest. In its final form, the legislation will fund numerous federal programs that provide aid and rebuilding assistance to local communities, farmers, service members and others nationwide.

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

Long as they are starting to get some things done, I will call it a win for all Americans..

Billions more to those socialist subhumans in the US territory of Puerto Rico, who don't pay taxes to the US.

most people would be embarrassed to be so fucking stupid...not you. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taxation_in_Puerto_Rico
you do know that 80% of the people of Puerto Rico pay no US federal income taxes, of course you don't...but somehow they feel bold enough to demand more money, probably should take what they get and be happy.
if they hadn't let heir utility infrastructure sink into such disrepair to begin with there would be little conversation of money shortage.

"In general, United States citizens and resident aliens who are bona fide residents of Puerto Rico during the entire tax year, which for most individuals is January 1 to December 31, are only required to file a U.S. federal income tax return if they have income sources outside of Puerto Rico or if they are employees of the U.S. government. Bona fide residents of Puerto Rico generally do not report income received from sources within Puerto Rico on their U.S. income tax return. However, they should report all income received from sources outside Puerto Rico on their U.S. income tax return.
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.
I wouldn't count on Trump signing anything without some kind of hissy fit about the wall.

I thought I'd seen everything on the level of stupidity here, but this takes the cake. Do you actually know how completely wrong, abhorrent, and man-babyish you sound. I don't know whether you'd benefit more if I hand you a few books for learning purposes, or whack you upside the head with them.Quote Originally Posted by Bobb View Post
