To further elaborate on this, one must wonder why would we have someone with hard evidence of built structures on the moon who was totally discreditable and laughable in his lectures? The answer lies in government conspiracy. The U.S. government knew that they couldn't keep everything secret and that they would miss details such as pixel size structures on large photographs. People would find evidence if they looked hard enough. So, before all of the credible sources materialized out of the woodwork the U.S. government needed to craft a precedence of discreditibility within the UFO conspiracy community. So, you get people like Alex Collier, who was in all probability a government agent, whose duty was to mix fact with fiction and put on a facade of unreliability in order to discourage creditable intellectuals from using evidence such as the moon photos he used to gain a foothold on the American public. If creditable and sane scientists were to challenge the government and lend creditibility to the UFO conspiracy community the government would lose control over that power of information and a public demand backed with credible sources could conceivably tear down that veil of secrecy. If the public had a strong case of proof backed with credible scientists presenting hard evidence then a case could be made for declassification and disclosure. So, the U.S. government set up these decoy agents holding small bits of hard evidence and then drenched them in nutty propoganda and half sane personaes. The citizens should have a right to know in the land of freedom, particularly when non-human intelligent species could be connected. I suppose this secrecy is their only bargaining chip.
