Please allow me to help out Earl and his fellow knuckledraggers.

    From your link:

"Trump is unshakably convinced that his tariffs are a tax on China. He repeated this grossly erroneous claim just Thursday, during his announcement of a new $16-billion bailout for farmers harmed by, yes, his tariff war.

“Just so you understand,” he said, “these tariffs are paid for largely by China. A lot of people like to say by ‘us.’ ”

"Well, the people who say that are economists and other experts who have done the math, and found that the tariffs Trump has imposed on imports from China cost American consumers $68.8 billion last year, though some of that spending got funneled back to some domestic producers in the form of higher prices (which their customers, of course, paid)."

In other words, Earl, those 12 six packs that you will be consuming this long holiday weekend cost you more this year than last. Cost *you* -- not China, not Coors. You.

the China Trade war is of utmost importance to the USA - not just the trade deficit, but the Chinese trade barriers and IP theft etc.

Two independent clauses require a comma. "So" is the coordinating conjunction word used as a connector to join two clauses.

Perhaps you skipped middle school English grammar.

That's good, because I tend to only help those for whom it would do some good.

Hope you're not interested in buying new jeans, shoes, a TV, laptop, camera, solar lights, shirt, underwear, socks, toothbrush, etc. any time soon.

Short term pain for long term gain, mujer de buho. It's a bit above your pay grade.

It would help to just stop buying Chinese jeans, shoes, a TV, laptop, camera, solar lights, shirt, underwear, socks, toothbrush, etc.

What sort of a moron doubles up on inverted commas for identification- and then claims grammatical superiority ? Haw, haw........haw.

    Haw."

An utterance used by a speaker (or writer) who is fumbling for words.

All righty then. Guess we can go back to hunting and tanning hides, making our own candles, and fashioning toothbrushes out of twigs ala The Clan of the Cave Bear. lol

So just how long do you think it will be before American factories can rebuild, retool, and rehire to start making all this good stuff again? Do you think the average American will gladly plunk down a week's salary for a pair of jeans, American-made shoes, underpants, socks, and a t-shirt?

Don't forget to run down to your closest recruiting station. It's time to start signing up for the coming Trade War with Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan.
