"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

The U.S. beer industry is blaming a jobs hangover on the Trump administration’s tariffs.

A report by two trade groups showed U.S. beer-industry jobs dropped 40,000 since 2016 as metal tariffs boosted aluminum-can costs, leading to a drop in investment. The biennial study by the Beer Institute and National Beer Wholesalers Association said direct, indirect and induced jobs fell to 2.19 million in 2018 from 2.23 million in 2016.

“Aluminum tariffs are increasing brewers’ costs and are an anchor on a vibrant industry,” Jim McGreevy, the chief executive officer of the Beer Institute in Washington, said in an emailed statement. “Each brewer is deciding for themselves how to absorb that expense, whether it’s raising prices, laying off workers or delaying innovation and expansion.”
Aluminum traders expect higher costs to ship metal into U.S. Midwest

The shipping and logistics charge for delivering aluminum to the U.S. Midwest, known as the “premium,” more than doubled as Trump slapped a 10% tariff on imports of the metal. Molson Coors Brewing Co. estimated last year that the levies would create a $40 million hit to its bottom line.

The "Beer industry" you have this selective affinity for has been on the demise for years due to the craft beer movement, which has brought in hundreds of thousands of jobs to local communities. Anyone who likes beer should understand how this is a great time in history to be alive.

Yes, good - but it is mainly Trumpf's teetotalism, I think. That vast belly, properly filled, could settle the difficulty for the piss-merchants in no time.

circle wagons, blame others , deflection...

    weak

The issue is where is your party on tariffs ,, because it is 180 where it was, and is it only because Trump, your dear leader, is doing it?
He owns the downside of his tariffs, right? Now, spew out another senseless hack answer.

It's clear you are trying to rewrite history. The cornservatard movement INVENTED the free trade shit.(Think ayn rand-Atlas shrugged and other fiction screeds) as the intellectual backdrop along with comparative advantage and natural factor endowments)
At your bidding, the Dems eventally came around as opposed to opposing it and conservative applauded that.

So to lay that at Dems feet is like blaming Trump for the holocaust, just because he sounds like Hitler sometimes.

The cans are made in the US. The beer industry imports 36% of the aluminum. 64% is purchased from US manufacturers.

For me devil is the details. In some cases a case can be made in others more harm than good. The theoretical
claim that any tariff is a drag on the global output is well founded in international trade theory. That does not mean
one country or its people, or anothers' will not win or lose. Here it appears Beer industry gets a hit.
It's fair that TRump pays the price and the news reports he is hurting them. Is it pinching some foreign country
enough to make it modify its behavior in ways that benefit us? That's the question.

But nnobody here is capable of discussing this. This country has the TV 3 second attn span and Repukes
are particularly sound bite afflicted. That's why a scoundrel lightweight like Dump is so successful with them.

    They are dumb.

It's a FAKE news story. No jobs have been lost in the beer industry.
