Sorry. Rashida Tlaib is another. They're members of the Democratic Socialists of America. I'm not saying their views are a direct 1-to-1 ratio.

    No. Just stating a fact.

Fact? How can it be a fact when you don't even have a basic understanding of either economic philosophy? Too much Hannity, too little thinking on your own

I don't have a fixation. That's just another lie on your part, something you picked up from the opinion writers at the WaPo, who do most of your thinking for you.

What it is the left ? Did not agree with Obama? You are a racist. Do not agree with AOC? You are fixated. When will you dunces get it through your head people just do not agree with their policies. That is it. And falling back on the race card and whatever other lame thing you can fall back on because you cannot argue your point is, well, boring.

It is kind of strange that they're members, but I don't think that's enough to say we're going to get any form of collective ownership anytime soon. When that becomes a talking point in mainstream politics, even if it's just among the them, then I'll say it's a possibility.

It's also worth mentioning that what this site describes is very different from what the Soviet Union had. It seems like they want to bring democracy to businesses.

Check out this video. I'm not saying I agree with it, but it makes an interesting argument.

I can't watch the video now but I'll take a look later.

Any sort of socialism, whether it is African socialism, National socialism, Ba'athism, Socialism of the 21st century, fails. I'm not sure prefixing "socialism" with another word is going to help it.

See this is why I'm trying not to even use the word "Socialism" anymore. It's getting to the point where it means nothing.

National Socialism was mostly Capitalist. The government owned a few businesses, but no more than your average European country. I'm sure more Capitalist countries have failed than countries that could be called "Socialism" in the Marxist sense.

No capitalist country has failed. Feel free to look that up. Then look up socialist countries that have failed.

Fair enough. I don't think we should use the word "socialism" unless it is a term of ridicule towards those who want it.

But no, capitalist countries have not failed. In fact, we have some side-by-side comparisons, ie. West Germany vs East Germany and South Korea vs North Korea.

Your "Democrats want us to be like Cuba!" is not going to work anywhere except in the very depths, in the echo chamber of your rightwing blogosphere.

I have heard exactly zero Millenials or real people in real life express a genuine belief that Democrats want to emulate and copy Fidel Castro or Vladimir Lenin.

Your kidding yourself if you think anyone buys that. I am convinced even you do not really but it. No way you actually and genuinely buy even your own BS.

What most people realize is that liberals and progressive democrats would advocate for a social welfare state that - while approximating Scandinavia - does not even really go that far leftward.
