Nobody banned the film. The people who own the property rights are refusing to release it. Which is fine under Capitalism.

If a public library chooses not to subscribe to Hustler Magazine, they have not banned it but simply chosen not to include that magazine in their collection.

Banning suggests people are not allowed to see it which is not true in this case. I'm sure Canadians can easily get access to the film (Netflix, Amazon, On Demand, DVD).

Theaters in my area do not show certain pictures because they would not attract enough viewers--they do ban those pictures.

In one instance, the owner is refusing to release it. In the other, the government is making it illegal to view it.

I don't believe in banning any form of media. I do believe in private property, so I don't want the government seizing this film to show it.

It is a helpful victory at a critical time. An anti-abortion film partially financed by My Pillow founder Mike Lindell will be distributed nationwide in March.

“Unplanned,” a feature film with a critical take on Planned Parenthood, has found a distribution partner in Pure Flix, which is set to release the movie nationwide to 800 screens on March 29, wrote Paul Bond, who covers the film industry for The Hollywood Reporter.

Pure Flix is described as a “Christian movie studio that produces, distributes, and acquires Christ centered movies,” according to a mission statement at its website. “Our vision is to influence the global culture for Christ through media.”

The distributor also released a three-minute trailer Thursday featuring Ashley Bratcher — the actress who plays lead character Abby Johnson — who renounces abortion and Planned Parenthood, where she once worked as a clinic director.

I the trailer, Ms. Bratcher “is warned not to defy Planned Parenthood, one of the most powerful organizations on the planet,” said Mr. Bond.

I'm with that too. Businesses should be free to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Refuse service to conservatives or faggots or blacks or christians etc. It should all be allowed.
