The most interesting thing about moving to Sacramento is that it leaves unanswered the eternal question: why does Legion suck so much dog-cock?

Cow Town was how it was referred to when I was growing up but it's definitely a growing City. The new Kings arena downtown is great.

The parents of a handful of kids I grew up with sold their Bay Area homes and moved to Sacramento to retire. Also had a number of classmates/friends leave the Bay for Sac and the much cheaper housing. Not cheap nationally speaking but cheaper than the Bay.

I've gone to Lake Tahoe for years. I always hate having to stop in Sac for food or gas during the summer. So f'ing hot. I couldn't imagine living through it.

L.A. is a different animal. It was a culture shock to me when I arrived for college and I was coming from Oakland, not some midwest farm.

I was brought up in NCal, taught to hate LA, and I simply don't, having lived here for about 19 years collectively now. I'll actually miss it, but not at all that much.

Don't know yet. We're looking at houses for the next couple weeks. Hopefully somewhere east of the city in the foothills, but who knows? It's all brand new to me.

FUCK YOU WACKO, pack a fuckin lunch, we don't want your money!!!!! lol

Don't come in August then, nor July, or Sept late or early June & you'll be fine.

When I first moved here my relatives from the bay area would always come in August for the state fair & then enviably someone looks out the window & asks how can you live here, like it's 110 every day.....lol Back then the rule of thumb was 90 days over 90, it doesn't seem like we get that as often now days...

Hopefully CharacterAssassin knows that, possibly, on occasion, it could get warm...

We have lots of rural as well in this area & in the eastern side.....

Whereabouts in Nor Cal were you before, if I may ask??

We probably discussed this before. Don't know if you are a NBA fan at all but I went for years to Bill Cartwright's basketball camp and he grew up in Elk Grove. Elk Grove High School legend.
