Rat-infested piles of rotting garbage left uncollected by the city of Los Angeles, even after promises to clean it up, are fueling concerns about a new epidemic after last year's record number of flea-borne typhus cases.

Actually it isn't far from San Jose & I considered it Nor Cal.. I think more south (along the coast), San Simeon to south of Santa Barbara, give or take..

Pardon my french but just talking about Pebble gives me an erection. You don't have to answer this but I would guess RLS?

I've played all courses there but Cypress. Had numerous friends play it, had family members play it but I've never gotten to. And the upgrades they have done at MPCC are absolutely amazing.

Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

Yes that joy is theirs. But the plague is far more effective.

Or, they are simply inept administrators more concerned with maintaining power and lining their own pockets than they are with the public welfare.

Yep. You must know a bit about it, since essentially only locals and students/grads call it "RLS".

The best bang for the buck for golf is the Pacific Grove muni course.

I have played Pacific Grove as well. Whether it's Pebble or Pacific Grove it is just fun to play there.

Well, then, it sounds like you're ready for a change and need to visit Carmel Valley.

Rancho Canada and it's 36 holes are now gone, but Carmel Valley Ranch Resort's course is very good.
