We had a Black Student Union when I was in high school. Most members were black but they let anyone who wanted to join, join. And they let anyone who wanted to attend their meetings attend. I attended several.

I don't recall ever claiming to be white on these forums. Either way though, I would feel very "unwelcome" attending an event that was organized and put on by blacks for the benefit of blacks if I was not black myself.
