Default "Trump fires back at 'loser' GOP lawmaker"

"Trump fires back at 'loser' GOP lawmaker who said he'd engaged in 'impeachable conduct"

"President Trump on Sunday ripped Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.) for saying that the president had reached the "threshold for impeachment," accusing the conservative lawmaker of leveling the charge "for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy."

"Never a fan of @justinamash, a total lightweight"

    https://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...hed-engaged-in

So, given that Trump being President is the most powerful individual in the world, what does it say about him that he thinks it was necessary to take any time out of his day to publicly admonish an individual he thinks is a "loser" and "lightweight?"

Amazing Trumpkins are such lemmings that they can't even begin to see thru Trump's shtick

You're maybe/probably are aware of this but the continual insulting of Trump voters does little to make them want to change their minds. In fact it probably makes them support Trump even more.

I don't think it's unique to Trump in that you will always find folks who are ride and die with their candidate. Doesn't matter what the politician does they will support them. There are also Trump voters who don't like things he's says about others or what he writes on Twitter but support his agenda overall and still back him.

Not everything is a zero sum game. Because you vote and support someone doesn't mean you have to agree or like everything they do. The same works in reverse, because you didn't vote for someone doesn't mean you have to dislike everything they do.

Telling the truth about Trump means that the gets no new voters.

Trump feels no shame, but those undecided would feel shame deciding to support Trump.

    Amash is proof of that.

Majority of Trump voters are never going to "change their minds," Trump wasn't joking when he said he could shoot someone and not lose voters, he knew it then

And "still backing him" doesn't mean you close your eyes to what he is doing. Today Trump has the same lackeys out there blasting Amash, even on a personal level, right on cue

For decades we have had conservatives preaching a doctrine of open markets, family values, limited Gov't, controlling deficit/debt, oversight, judicial restrain, a less powerful Executive Branch, etc., and today those same conservatives have supported Trump policies in direct conflict to all those supposed principles

What will the GOP stand for post Trump? Today they are the party of insult and attack defining dialogue. Their foundation as conservatives is blown, where are they going?

Political partisans supporting their party isn’t new and isn’t unique to Republicans. Almost ten percent of Obama voters voted for Trump and multiple people here have claimed that stat to be false because they don’t believe people would do that. Not every voter is a political ideologue and not every voter spends their life following the daily travails of the president and other politicians.

I’d recommend spending more time on your own party and the message you are putting out and what you are doing to reach voters rather than constantly ripping on people who voted for Trump.

And from a Democratic Party perspective you have a lot going on right now. Over 20+ Presidential candidates. The party is trying to determine do we want to go leftward like Bernie, Warren etc. or toe more middle of the road. Are some of our candidates too old to reach younger voters? Etc. Yet on this board almost no democrats/liberal posters even discuss it. Almost 100% of posts are about Trump and Trump voters. Yes, I realize Trump is President but the world exists outside just the President.

So you stand for nothing other than being anti-Trump. Great.

And good luck with that electorally. We all remember 2004 and ABB.

You stand as being stupid, as it should be. Great.

We all remember 1992 and 2008.

TRump is the most divisive President in our history, and he will serve only one term in the Presidency, before serving several terms in the penitentiary.

    1992 and 2004 involved an incumbent, 2008 didn’t.

Pretty amazing you are saying a political party should stand for nothing than opposition to one person and yet you want to call others stupid.

Trump was the most hated Presidential candidate of the past 50 years yet he still won the election. The candidate (Trump’s opponent) matters.

I am saying nothing of the sort. That shit is coming out of your mouth.

I agree who the Dem candidate is will determine if Trump loses by 5 or 8 or 10 or 15% of the electoral vote.
