I would bet the vast majority of people are not aware that 0-9 are Arabic numerals. If you told them prior to asking the question, I bet they would have no concern.

They are NOT "ARABIC NUMERALS"; they are "HINDU-ARABIC NUMERALS" with BY FAR, the most credit to the Hindus.

I am convinced that prior to this thread, there is close to a zero percent chance you actually knew or remembered that Hindu mathematicians invented the ten digit numeric system.

I only know about tangentially from recent college level classes I attended. The Hindu origins are not widely known or remembered by average people.

Posturing as a phony armchair expert does not add to your credibility. This is an anonymous message board of people you will never meet, and I cannot see any reason you need to enhance your ego with strangers you do not even know with knowledge you were not even in possession of before this thread.
