I haven’t read the AL law but if it doesn’t allow for abortion in underage rape victims then it may be two restrictive.

The problem with the pro-abortion argument is twofold: one is that Roe is bad law and since it’s bad law it’s open to challenge. The issue never should have left the states but SCOTUS conjured the ‘right’ to abortion in Roe.

The other problem is the ‘fundies’ have science on their side. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to prop-up the argument that the human fetus is something other than human. And medical imaging technology isn’t helping matters. IOW, that isn’t a glob of cells sucking it’s thumb on the sonogram.

And this is having an effect on non-fundies. So I’d say the country should probably prepare for an abortion battle.

The Supreme Court leans to the left. The same judges which pulled out of their asses the constitutional mandate for states to recognize fag marriage are still on the court.
