Well, the Trump Russian conspiracy theory certainly turned out to be less than impressive lol.

In fact, ‘how it all got started’ needs to be looked into because, at minimum, it was a colossal intelligence failure. At minimum. A few of us suspect something worse.

I am reasonably confident that there was no illegal or "political" spying by the FBI. Certainly there is no known evidence of it.
They were doing their duty as they saw it.

What's more, I think Barr knows that. What he's doing is making appropriate noises for Trump and the fan base. Of course, if he does find any irregularities, he'll be happy to tell us.

But don't expect mass show trials.

I don’t see how the Dossier is going to get excused.

Regardless of whatever [apparently faulty] justification they had to spy on the Trump campaign the mere presence of Russian misinformation on a FISA application is going to get someone in trouble. I don’t see a way around that.

Again with the Dossier: Comey briefed Trump on it; then the briefing was leaked to the media, which in turn, gave them an excuse to publish it. It doesn’t matter if it was after the election. If they find the leaker, the leaker is going to be charged. And if it was part of a conspiracy, it gets to even bigger.

Then someone has some explaining to do about why Trump and his senior campaign members didn’t receive an intelligence briefing if people like Page were having suspicious contacts. Similarly, it’s come out that Flynn was under investigation *before* Trump appointed him. Again, where was the intelligence briefing? That one rates a ‘bloody hell’.

It gives every appearance that someone or some people were trying to set Trump up and/or frame him. Maybe it just looks that way.

But I doubt it.
