I don't think there have been very many major votes by the House or Senate.

Which is the real prob for the public-nothing is getting done.

Personally I don't care what the two parties do to each other but nothing is being done & the country is neglected......

I was hoping there was going to be some common ground~a deal on roads/bridges etc but nothing seems to be happening.

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

They don't want anybody to get credit for it.

Also, with a $22 trillion debt and $1 trillion deficit I'm not sure another big spending program is wise. It causes temporary stimulation of the economy and slower growth in the long-run.

Both parties have been far from perfect and both should certainly be called out when they act like selfish children. But the DNC did not go through a complete philosophical change during the Bush years. They didn't always work well with the GOP, but they also didn't always resist. The GOP resisted Obama endlessly, even to the point of literally breaking the rules of congress when it was time for Obama to nominate a supreme court justice.

I don't see the media worrying about being biased--they would lose all their viewers who only want to hear negative stuff and have their views confirmed.
That's true for Fox and maybe MSNBC. But CNN cares about not being seen as biased, to the point where they used the "both sides" fallacy when the GOP was acting a fool.

It used to before the GOP went nanners.
And yes, I know politicians also get bribed by donors and have to answer to the media. But they still managed to work together when they had to. It was never a perfectly functioning system, but it used to at least be a functioning system.

Joe is too conservative for me, but I’ll vote for him any day of the week if he will save us from this disaster of an administration.

    What rule did they break?

Since they had no intention of confirming Garland holding hearings would have been a big waste of time and money.

I don't believe not holding hearings is any worse (or better) than changing the rules with the nuclear option.
