Default "Chris Wallace: AG Barr 'clearly is protecting' Trump"

"Fox News anchor Chris Wallace said he believes Attorney General Bill Barr "clearly is protecting" President Trump and "advocating his point of view" on issues during an interview on "America's Newsroom" on Friday.

"What really comes across to me [about the Barr interview] most of all is that for two years Donald Trump sat there and said 'I don’t have an attorney general. I don’t have somebody out there looking for and protecting my interests,' " said Wallace. "He clearly has that now with Bill Barr."

"Barr clearly is protecting this president and advocating his point of view on a lot of these issues," the "Fox News Sunday" anchor continued. "

"The attorney general seemed almost to be acting as the counselor for the defense, the counselor for the president, rather than the attorney general"

    https://thehill.com/homenews/media/4...otecting-trump

Tough to tell here if Wallace was really that naive to ever think that Trump actually appointed Barr to be anything but his Roy Cohen.

A competent Attorney General serving the United States was never on Trump's radar, nor was appointing a qualified nominee to the Supreme Court ever a consideration. They are both Trump lackeys being where they are today solely due to their commitment to cover Trump's ass

I take it ‘there is only one point of view’ lol.

For two years, ‘only one point of view’ was shouted out, daily, by practically every media hack. And sixty million Trump supporters had to sit there and listen to it.

Guess what Wallace? Trump is president and he gets a turn. The game is over.

Assumptions of motives without evidence. Maybe both Trump and Barr believe one way because they have access to far more info than Wallace does.

    Yup.....Barr is Trump's "wingman".
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

The Attorney General of the United States job now is to shout out a point of view? the point of view of the President who appointed him?

And I always thought the Attorney Generals' role was to represent the United States in legal matters not the President's point of view

No, not nearly that complex, it's easy, Barr is bailing out Trump, that is exactly why Trump appointed him, he's Trump boy

    Well lol?

They’re both part of the executive branch. Sheesh.

If Trump wants Barr to go after MS-13, Barr goes after MS-13. If Trump has reason to suspect crimes were committed against he or his campaign—guess what Barr gets to do.

Again, an assumption of motives without evidence. You're certainly not a mind-reader, but pretend to know their inner thoughts and motives which you try to pass off as valid insight.

What, two people can't have similar views? Where were your complaints when Attorney General Eric Holder was proclaiming to be your lord and savior's "wingman"? Shut the fuck up you fucking douchebag.

Both are part of the Executive Branch whose purpose is to administer the law not serve as the President's private counsel, the Executive Branch has a separate position for that job

Wait a minute, you actually think Barr suddenly publicly takes on M13 and brings along Fox TV to do it cause it was all imagined in his office? It is all orchestrated, it endorses Trump's fear rhetoric on immigration, you really can't be that naive
