Most States maintain a State militia. It is not the National Guard.
The military is not a militia.
Membership in a militia is NOT required for the people to have the right of self defense and bear arms.

I doubt it, but having them doesn't mean you know how to use them.
I'll NEVER register my guns, The ones I bought off the Army are the only
ones registered, and they are far from the most accurate, or powerful.

Funny, in our High School we had ROTC classes, and we had a National Guard Armory right next door.

Our ROTC classes spent a lot of time cleaning weapons and firing them at the target range.

I used to love those old hexagon barrelled 22's. Now talk about an accurate weapon! And fun to shoot. I wish I owned one now!

Those are perfect for shooting wild turkey! You could knock one's head off with those thangs!

Sure. It's the tax system we use to pay for roads. It also provides a record of ownership. I register my aircraft too. It helps to pay for airports, navigation facilities, and ATC. Both cars and aircraft cost considerably more than a gun. Guns do not require the use of a road or the use of FAA or State provided facilities.

Nope. I can leave my car unregistered as long as I want, so long as I don't drive on public roadways with it.
