Which made my family stateless refugees.

Do you want to try a third time?

Please try to make a coherent, consistent, and principled argument for why you have belatedly claimed you want to accept refugees from communism but not refugees from conflict zones.

Civil War is...does it have to be spelled out? We had one. Remember hearing about it?
Lawlessness and drugs? We have that HERE. Stay and fight, change laws, become a cop, work to make changes.
You have no idea what those people went through in central america, are not in a position to say, and I see zero evidence - none, nada, zilch - that the conflict zones they are fleeing from are exactly the same as the United States.

Another question I have: would Jesus accept refugees fleeing a central american conflict zone?

but there are also illegal crossing at the rate over OVER 100k per month

which is why we can't process them fast enough and they are being dumped ( catch and relase) all over the USA.

Pelosi has been calling it a "manufactured crisis" does that sound like it's not happening?
She's a bitch. Schumer backs Trump on China trade talks, but not her, and she's acting like she won't take up
ratification of NAFTA 2 as well.

Her only goal is to throw sand into the Trump presidency - not cooperating on the border crisis or NAFTA 2.

I agree with you on the “but Trump...”. Many of us associate the idea with the person proposing it so even if it’s something we would normally support we will be against it if we don’t like the person doing the proposing.
I haven't heard a "good argument" - you can supply one if you'd like to

So I see no reason ppl can't continue to despise trumpf & just roll w/ the few things he gets right.

and with automation driving out yet more and more unskilled jobs -where are these new migrant/unskilled labor

Our manufacturing base for ex. is increasingly high tech or skilled, while the assembly stuff like shoes

families would be about 1/3 of the slots instead of the current 2/3 - why give non-producers a 2/3 priority?
You’re making an illogical argument because you’re creating a false dichotomy and making false assumptions based on that. I’m saying illegal immigration should prioritize families because as important as business are they are not the functional unit of society. Families are and are more important than businesses.

What Trump is attempting has been tried before, was used to undermine wages and was rejected by the American people. Don’t you guys study history? Hell do you even read the News Papers? It was just a few years ago that Disney was sued for hiring H1B workers as computer programers, classified them as “contractors” to evade labor laws, fired their programers and replaced them with the foreign contractors at half the wages and forced the American programers to not only train their replacements but to also sign a non disclosure or they would be denied a severance package.

No in a reality based world that is what your advocating and what would happen. Which just goes to show you what the true family values of both Disney and Trump are.

Very interesting story.... Have you made a thread or anything about it??

Trump is right on The Wall. He just wants to build it in the wrong place. It needs to be built on the north shore of the Ohio River.

Once you say "Trump is illegitimate" it gives you card blanche to demonize Trump and not deal with the country's issues.
Hopefully the voters are paying attention - Trump wants to deal, the Dems wanna do nothing
I never said Trump was illegitimate. He is an incompetent racist shithead but he was elected. And the only ones with TDS are the ignorant bigots who follow him. They can point to Biden who put his hand on some woman's shoulder as being amoral but they don't have a problem with a guy on his 3rd wife, raped the first, cheated on every one, verbally talks about how he grabs women by the pussy because he can and is out fucking porn stars while his wife has his child. Then he pays them to shut up and lies about it. If supporting that piece of shit isn't deranged I don't know what is.

And yes, putting off the countries issues until the shithead is gone is the best way to deal with them.

Yes, that flood happens from time to time & I do believe this latest flood is a direct result of words & actions from the regime..

Yea, she sucks, SHE REMINDS ME A LOT OF THE FOLKS FROM THE GOP THAT DID IT WHEN SHE WAS IN THE MINORITY........

Now because one side did bad, certainly does not justify the other doing so, but others see it differently~obviously...

I honestly don't blame you & others for feeling this way, just like I didn't blame the dems for feeling this way when the gop did it to them..

trump IS NOT GOING TO GET EVERYTHING HE WANTS, & the more he shits on the folks that did not vote for him the more stubborn & intransigent they will become...obviously!!!

Perhaps in real estate in the tri-state area threatening & bullying got him his way (minus that billion or so of course), that isn't working out to well thus far on the world stage or here @ home..

    Now listen to this clip

btw anyone know when Trump flip-flopped on 'chain immigration'?

Donald Trump presented a new “immigration reform” proposal today at the White House that would upend the United States’ long history of welcoming the poor, striving, and needy, and reserve citizenship for people with higher education and fat paychecks.

The United States has for too long based its immigration policies on family ties and luck, Trump said. “Currently 66% of legal immigrants come here on the basis of random chance,” Trump said. “They’re admitted solely because they have a relative in the United States, and it doesn’t matter who that relative is,” he said, sounding somewhat incredulous.
