CNN’s ratings have been in a free fall since the Mueller report.

CNN had its lowest primetime weekly ratings overall and in the key age demographic, according to Nielsen Media Research.

From April 8-12, the network only averaged an audience of 690,000 people and 180,000 in the key 25-54 age demographic. Their coverage last week included three presidential town halls with New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee and Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julián Castro.

CNN is now drawing less viewers per night than the Hallmark Channel, mundanely sitting in the mid-600,000s. Their numbers in the key demo are even worse, drawing only about 200,000 people.

It’s an unsustainable path for a network.

This led to over a hundred employees accepting buyouts. When the news media started reporting that layoffs were coming at CNN, their Baghdad Bob stepped up to the plate with this hilarious spin.
