Mayors of Seattle
Seattle's first mayor, Henry Atkins, was appointed by the territorial Legislature pending the first city election scheduled for July 1870. Here are the mayors who followed, the date their term began and their political party.
John Jordan, 1871, no party
(Nonpartisan elections were established in the 1910 city charter.)
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."
They run nonpartisan elections, no repub or dem has won there in over 100 years.. Just sayin!!

We have nonpartisan elections also here in Anchorage so technically they're not dims or repubs but everyone knows what they are.
When a mayor signs off on raising taxes to make public union employees with nothing more than a h.s. education multimillionaires for life at retirement in their late 40's, well, you know what they are. When a city council and mayor decides shoplifting is no longer a crime, you know what they are. When a city council and mayor propose increasing property taxes to pay for free housing for chronic inebriants, you know what they are. I could give more examples. No time, and if I had it, not worth it. We all know what dims stand for.

That is true. The only city I'm quite familiar with is New Orleans.
In 1960 it had a population of about 600,000 and growing. Gradually corrupt thugs took it over and today it has a population of less than 420,000.
Those with personal responsibility began escaping in droves in the '70's and now mostly live north of Lake Pontrartrain, a thriving , growing community with republican leadership.
The silver lining for N.O. is that the population seems to have stabilized with the murder rate about equal to the birth rate.
