Again, you know this. Much like you know the argument you’re desperately trying to validity was baseless and frankly stupid.
Irrelevant. Cranes are not people. They are not a sign of economic development. If anything, they are a sign of speculation. I simply used China as an example. There are others, such as what happened to Las Vegas.

It's not my fault you are making a false equivalence here.

No, that's what generated this thread, but I live here. I see it happening. I've known this to be a problem long before the so-called fluff piece. What it describes is actually true.

No Spock. It’s not a paradox. Your pronouncement that it is only serves to make your argument that much more flimsy. Having blood and oxygen is good, right? Having food and water is good, right? Having people and construction is good, right? Of course.

Speculation is a bet on a positive outcome. You don’t bet on red if you don’t think the marble will land on it. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it does not.

However, adding capacity to an existing office is not “speculation”, it’s an investment. Building a new multi-million dollar campus? That may be speculation.

You really are not thinking about what you’re writing very much.

As I am not making any false equivalences…perhaps you should stick to subjects you know more about this. Clearly, this is not one of them.

    It's really bad now.

Homeless encampments now line either side of the freeway like mini cities as you emerge from the Mt Baker tunnel. The line I-5 on all sides and are underneath it through the downtown area. 2nd ave has become much more dangerous due to the numbers of homeless camps in the area. Practically every park downtown is filled with tents.

When offered work, they refuse it. Crime is roaming more and more unchecked through the streets. The drugs, the crazies, the shootings, the crime...it's all there and it's all gotten a LOT worse.

No, you are locked in a paradox, you are trying to make false equivalencies, and you are losing context while trying to redirect to various strawman arguments.

Why does that matter? Lol My nephew lives in the University district. The others I’m not familiar with their area, just plugged their address into the GPS.

Just to answer the last part since it is all that matters:

From your posts on this thread…it is clear that you do not know what is going on there. Your thoughts are your own but the objective data has rendered them inaccurate.

Nah. LA has always had Mexicans. It's the 2nd largest Mexican City in the world, and it's just fine that way. It's not overrun at all.

Since you love paying Mexicans to choke you while you beat off in the shower, you'd love it here, putita borracha.

When is the last time you visited LA??
"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."
