Default The Trump Court strikes again

"Supreme Court rules in favor of businesses seeking to block class-action lawsuits"

"The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled on behalf of a business seeking to stop a class-action lawsuit brought forward by an employee, handing a win to companies that want to block some types of litigation. The business sought to dismiss the lawsuits, pushing for individual legal action instead"

"Roberts wrote that “[c]lass arbitration is not only markedly different” from the individual lawsuits covered by the Federal Arbitration Act, but that it “also undermines the most important benefits” of traditional individual lawsuits."

"Ginsburg wrote that the Supreme Court in recent years “has routinely deployed to the law to deny to employees and consumers ‘effective relief against powerful economic entities’” and that it “has hobbled the capacity of employees and consumers to band together in a judicial or arbitral forum.”

    https://thehill.com/regulation/court...to-block-class

Second case against class action lawsuits, are these people nuts, how in the hell does a single individual even hope to win a suit against say a company as Walmart as an individual?

Just a trend in this "greater America," fits right in with the loss of net neutrality, fiduciary rules, pollution standards, consumer protections, etc., what Trumpkins have been led to believe is "deregulation" is actually a subtle stripping away of individual safeguards

This is just the beginning. Leftist loons will lose the ability to use the courts to advance their sick, twisted agenda for a generation. Does that make you sad?

Oh, so now stripping away individual safeguards is the "right track," got it, and I guarantee you'd be one of the first to cry if you are stroked over by an insurance company or auto dealer.

Can't wait to see what happens when eliminating net neutrality takes full implementation and all the Tumpkins start bitching cause they can't access their favorite demagogues without first paying a fee

The ruling involves class action suits by employees, according to your OP.

I'm sorry the rule of law offends you. You should have thought of that when promoting every frivolous lawsuit under the sun.

What safeguards were stripped away? How is one not able to sue an Insurance company or auto dealer because of this ruling?

Why don't you hold your breath while you wait?
